I recently discovered Swiss-born paper artist, Valérie Buess, via upon a fold and was instantly mesmerized by her incredible work. Buess has lived and worked in Germany since 1990, creating intricate pieces with a wonderfully organic feel. Her portfolio can be found here, and below are just a few of my favorite details.

New Printable Paper Cameras by Mel Stringer

Last March, I featured Mel Stringer’s very clever, printable 3D paper cameras, and I was so excited to see that she recently added a new design to her collection. “TOUGHIE”, the new do-it-yourself paper camera, was inspired by LOMO’s Diana and Konica Minolta cameras and is available in four different designs: graph paper white, denim blue, rosebud pink, and floral pink + blue. I love that the little lid is a separate piece that lifts off so you can easily tuck a favor or gift inside!

Weekly Wrap #104 : Paper Bag Dress Up

This sweet and simple gift and favor packaging idea comes from The Party Studio. A brown paper bag can be dressed up in so many ways, and I never get tired of seeing fun new projects that incorporate this humble supply. Grab some decorative edging scissors or an edging paper punch (to fancy up the top of the bag), a little twine or string, and tags of your choice to create everything from party favors to Valentine’s Day goody bags for the classroom to gifts for family and friends. Valentine’s Day Goodies from One Plus One Design

Ooh, so many adorable new paper goodies from One Plus One Design, including the oh so sweet perforated Valentine’s Day cards above, which are the perfect size (3″x4″) for kids to tuck into foil and heart covered shoeboxes at school. The “Let’s Neck”, “Bear Hugs”, and “Fish Kisses” illustrations are also available in a larger size folded card (4.25″ x 5.5″) in both a red and a green/yellow/blue colorway.

These “Love Is Nutty” and “Love Travels” art prints are so very cute, too, for Valentine’s Day and beyond!
