Joie Magazine #3 : Lovely

Joie Magazine Issue 5

The new issue of Joie is here, and if you haven’t yet had a chance to get a look at this online magazine, please check it out! The magazine is filled with inspirational craft, design, fashion, and lifestyle ideas from independent artists and creatives, and this issue, aptly named “Lovely”, features so many great ideas. My personal favorite in this issue is the Great Gatsby feature, which is filled with gorgeous fashion, jewelry, and accessories.

This issue of Joie is also special because it features a supplemental print-it-yourself booklet with 30+ printables from 17 artists and designers. Printables include coloring pages, booklets, and lots of Valentine’s Day themed goodies, including a set of mini Valentines designed by yours truly.

Here’s a peek at my contribution to the booklet – Valentine’s Day cards, a matching envelope, and heart seals:

A little more than two weeks until Valentine’s Day, but I’m still finding plenty of fun love cards! Today is part 6 of my roundup, and I’ll have just one more roundup (I think) after this. There really have been so many great Valentine’s Day cards this year.

P.S. Don’t forget to enter to win the giveaway for a super sweet Raccoon Screen Print from Small Talk Studio. Today’s the last day to enter!

“Bye Bye Beard” and “Like Blank Loves Blank” letterpress cards from Australian shop, The Hungry Workshop. These are so much fun!

New “made for each other” cards from Mew Paper Arts: Wings and Beer, Wine and Cheese, Olive and Martini, Ketchup and Fries. So cute! And for every Valentine item that is purchased from their website or Etsy shop, Alissa from Mew Paper Arts will hand deliver a card to an elderly person in the nursing home where her mother works.

Mulberry and Moss Paper Goods

I’m digging the modern, textural style of the paper goodies from Mulberry and Moss, who specialize in blending worn, deconstructed textures – dabs of watercolor, brushstrokes, and bits of old tape here and there – with modern, geometric shape and pattern.

Cards are available individually or as box sets (a great gift idea!), and Mulberry and Moss also offers three complete suites of wedding stationery.

Here’s a peek at some of the lovely, modern paper goods available from Mulberry and Moss:

Curiosity, a Portland-based creative marketing agency, is behind this super cool concept, and each month they’ll be releasing a new 3d paper toy calendar for you to enjoy. Download the calendars over at Curiosity’s site, or sign up to have a new calendar emailed to you every month. January’s calendar was a loveable Yeti with a feline friend, and February’s calendar features Jean, the Weather Queen, an ever so cautious groundhog.

Sweeteeth Valentine’s Day Chocolate Packaging

Sweeteeth Chocolate Packaging

Oh, Sweeteeth Valentine’s Day chocolate bon bon packaging, how you make me squee with delight!

The limited edition, hand screen-printed Valentine’s Day chocolate box wraps from Sweeteeth feature illustrations by three South Carolina graphic designers, and the wraps convert to 3 1/2″ x 5″ keepsakes (the sides are perforated), too! Plus, you’ll get yummy bon bons, like berry prosecco in white chocolate, red wine and strawberry in dark chocolate, and salted caramel in dark chocolate in the fantastically wrapped boxes. Chocolate bon bons + great design = awesomeness. – via The Dieline
