Fontly Five Favorites

I don’t share highlights from the Fontly Five nearly often enough here on the main site, so I’m changing things up a bit today and showcasing half a dozen fonts that I’ve been lusting after in recent weeks. Is it just me, or are there a lot of really awesome fonts making their debut these days?

Sean Sims Greeting Cards

Sean Sims Greeting Cards

Sean Sims’ illustrations have such a fun, mid-century kind of vibe, and I’m head over heels for his collection of colorful greeting cards at 1973. There’s a design for just about every occasion, including wedding, baby, new home, new job, and get well. Here’s a peek at what you’ll see when you head over to 1973 to check out the whole lineup:

Social Proper

Social Proper Stationery

Ooh, I just love it when I hear about a new stationery shop, and Social Proper’s debut collection of paper goodies, inspired by late summer days and holding on to the sun as long as possible, gives me such a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Elizabeth Eadie of Social Proper has been dreaming about having her own line of stationery since she worked on Disney’s Consumer Products Stationery Team (I had no idea such a thing existed!), and her dream has become reality with her debut line of lovely, hand-painted watercolor greetings and patterned cards. Congrats, Elizabeth!

A Stitch in Time…

Stitch in Time Poster

I’m really digging the new poster project by recent RISD graduate, Jeshurun Webb, who is in the process of capturing the adages that her 90-year-old grandmother used to say and making them into super cool posters (great idea!).

The first poster in the series, “A Stitch in Time Saves Nine”, features “cross-stitched” type and is screen printed in black and silver – love those metallic touches. What a great gift idea for the embroiderer or needlework maven in your life. Can’t wait to see more posters in the series!

Cutie Patootie Animal Gift Tags

Cute Animal Party Gift Tags

After a weekend that was filled with gray skies, high winds, and plenty of rain, I’m ready for something bright and cheery, and these new (and totally adorable) animal gift tags from Night Owl Paper Goods fit the bill perfectly. The die-cut party tags feature piggies, ducks, horses, monkeys, otters and, of course, owls all dressed up for a party, and they would make such a cute finishing touch for birthday gifts. Or you can tie a bunch on ribbon or string to make a fun birthday garland.

Tags are available in 5 sets, each featuring two colorful designs.
