Eco Friendly Paper : The Local Paper

Eco Friendly Paper

The Local Paper Gift Wrap

I’m absolutely loving the new line of eco-friendly gift wrap from Houston, Texas based architect and designer, Sophia Malik. The Local Paper was developed from a love of pattern and design, and the collection takes its inspiration from travel, nature, and life.

The Local Paper Gift Wrap

The Local Paper’s first collection, the San Jose Collection, was inspired by a trip to Costa Rica and features pattern elements based on the intricate architectural details that can be found throughout the city. I can’t get enough of the subdued, oh so modern palette of white and silver on kraft colored paper, coupled with the gorgeous patterns.

The Local Paper products are created with a great commitment to both design and the environments. All products are printed on FSC certified papers with 30% recycled post-consumer fiber, and all of their packaging is recycled, recyclable, and biodegradable.

Weekly Wrap #8 : Coin Appeal

Weekly Wrap

Another Friday is here and I, for one, am very much looking forward to the weekend. If you’ve sent me an email recently, please allow for a little (okay, a lot) of extra response time, as we’re headed into the final stretch before the launch of Nonpareil, and I’ve been completely immersed in that project lately. Maddy and I are so excited for everyone to see the first issue, which will be coming out very soon!

I’m all about simple but beautiful gift wrapping lately, and this week’s Weekly Wrap is a reflection of this. I spotted this lovely idea over at the always inspirational Cafe Cartolina blog and was led to discover another wonderfully inspirational blog, Esprit Bohème, as a result. The combination of simple, white tissue paper with a more industrial twine and a centime coin detail is so very pretty, don’t you think?

Happy weekend, everyone, and look for more Valentine’s Day card roundups coming your way next week!

Weekly Wrap #7 : Brown Paper Packages Tied Up with String

Weekly Wrap

I’ve become a total fangirl of the Color Me Pretty features by Leslie of A Creative Mint over at Decor8. The styling and palettes are simply gorgeous! One of my favorites so far has been the red, white, and brown theme, which features a completely awesome red felt coaster as a packaging embellishment, as well as two of my latest obsessions, twine and kraft paper, and one of my growing obsessions, doilies. Absolutely wonderful!
