Weekly Wrap #5 : Grey Likes Gift Wrap

Thud. That was my jaw hitting the floor when I first saw these absolutely stunning gift wrap ideas from Summer of Grey Likes Weddings over at Style Me Pretty this week. I am so incredibly inspired by everything in these images, from the repurposed sweater used as gift wrap to the incorporation of pom pom fringe and the palette of whites, creams, and taupes. Just perfect.

Book Page Ideas Aplenty

I am loving the trend in book page crafts and decorations, and I’m still awaiting the time when I’ll finally be able to put together this fabulous book page wreath. I’ve got the supplies. Now, I just need to find time! In the meantime, here are a few more book page ideas that have caught my eye lately.

Kellie from ScrapLog made a beautiful wreath using paper ringlets made by cutting book pages into strips. Love this:

She also used book pages to create pretty origami star ornaments:

Hausfrau in Melbourne shares an idea for creating a pom pom style gift bow using book pages (I must try this!):

And I love this ruffly bloom gift topper from Country Living (for instructions, go to slide 3 in the slideshow when you click over), which I spotted in Nole’s lovely roundup of book page, newspaper, and sheet music gift wrap ideas at Oh So Beautiful Paper. The original is made from newsprint, but I think it would be pretty easily adaptable for book pages if you have pages that are wide enough:

Weekly Wrap #4 : ABC, Easy as …

I love the ABC gift wrap ideas that Brooke at Inchmark shared on the Design*Sponge guest blog back in November. Such an easy and fun way to personalize gifts at any time of the year! Plus, how could I resist a gift wrap technique that involves candy dots? If you want to use initials from script fonts (or an computer fonts) on your tags, you can always print them onto cardstock and cutout in the shape that you want, too. Lots of possibilities!

A Letterpress Christmas 2009 : Elum

I’m so excited about the elum letterpress holiday card collection, and I’m loving the gift wrap designs that they’ve created, too! So many great cards, but I think that my favorite has to be Cornucopia (above), a card that is made up of 10 unique punch out gift tags that the recipient can use for their own gift giving. It’s a card and a little extra gift, all rolled into one! More eye candy from elum’s holiday collection:

Weekly Wrap #3 : Gorgeous Glassine

Felt & Wire shares gorgeous gift wrap ideas, inspired by Pictorial Webster’s from Chronicle Books. The use of glassine is a lovely tease, creating additional anticipation for the gift within, and repurposing a vintage mailing envelope as gift wrap is brilliant!
