Paper Artist Daniel Mar

Daniel Mar Paper Art

I recently spotted the work of French paper artist, Daniel Mar, over at Paper Forest, and I had to see more so I immediately headed over to his portfolio, which is filled with so many beautiful, intricate projects. I love the interplay of papercuts and sculptural paper elements that Daniel uses to create dimension. So inspiring!

Letterpress Paper House Kits

Letterpress Paper House Kit

These new letterpress paper house kits from OneCanoeTwo look like so much fun. The first diorama kit in what will be a series (yay!) is called Chandler Lane, and it includes a background plus pieces for three houses, seven trees, and two corner tabs. I’m loving the attention to detail shown on each piece, including shingled rooftops, brick siding, and doorway and window detailing on the houses, and the landscaped grass, stone walkway, trees, and sky on the background piece. This kit would make a wonderful spring or Easter activity for both kids and adults.

Droolworthy Business Cards

I’ve had business cards on my mind lately, and there are so many fantastic concepts and designs floating around that I had to gather them up and do a roundup of some of my favorites. Bonus: I’m including a branding concept, too. Not technically a business card, but too cute not to mention. Here we go!

Business Card Design

Shown above, clockwise from the top:

* Business cards for Matteo Gastel by Cacao Design, printed on “pachica” paper, which becomes transparent when heated and embossed. Super cool, huh? – via FPO

* A business card that works like a mini house plant, growing alfalfa or cress when dipped in water. Designed by Jamie Wieck.

* Ultra modern letterpress printed cards, designed by Peter Gaillard and printed by Fresh Impression. Love the teal edge painting!

* Gorgeous die cut and letterpressed business cards for Vale of Enna by Truly Smitten. – via Oh So Beautiful Paper

* Love the light on dark, blind debossing, and metallic ink on the F5 Photography business cards by Device Design.

* A fantastically cute branding concept by Tad Carpenter for Yummo.

* Intricate lace illustration and “embroidered” lettering on Marian Bantjes’ business cards.

* Love the charcoal and yellow palette and aspen illustration on these letterpressed business cards by Dingbat Press for Light + Love Photography.

* More of that cool “pachica” paper on PataPri’s cute business cards.

Easter Egg Cup Craft

Easter Egg Cup Craft

Oh, this Easter egg cup craft from Paper Source is just darling. I love the grassy fringe and sweet little flower accents. Check out the tutorial over at the Paper Source blog, and download a template so you can easily cut out the blades of grass. I think that these would make really cute accents for votive candle holders, too!
