Luke Drozd

Luke Drozd

Artist and illustrator Luke Drozd’s work is a little unsettling, somewhat disturbing, and totally awesome. If you’re lucky enough to be attending Flatstock 24, a poster show presented by the American Poster Institute this week, then you’ll undoubtedly see the poster (above) that Drozd created for the show, and you can find more of his work at Gigposters and in his Flickr stream, too. Here’s a peek:

Natalie As Is Handmade Books

Natalie As Is Handmade Books

I spotted Natalie Stopka’s, aka Natalie As Is, work recently on the Etsy front page, and I was instantly taken by her gorgeous, handmade books. Natalie incorporates vintage hankies, fabric, and embroidery stitching to create unique books that are oh so chic. You can see more of her hand bound book work, along with her drawings and print work, here.

Rainy Day Letterpress Cards

Umbrella Letterpress Cards
Umbrella Letterpress Cards

I always say this, but I can’t believe that it’s Monday again already. This is the third straight day of constant rain and wind in the Boston area, and I’m a bit rain weary, but these cute Rainy Day letterpress cards from Letterpress Delicacies have been cheering me up. They’re available in tnree colorways: blue/silver, fuchsia/silver, and black/silver. Here’s to a great Monday, despite whatever inclement weather you may be experiencing!

Weekly Wrap #15 : By the Sea

Weekly Wrap

Ocean Theme Gift Wrap

I have to admit that I’m usually not a fan of ocean and coastal themed decor, but when done right it can be truly beautiful. I’m completely taken with this gift wrap idea that I spotted at Chez Fifi. I love the subdued palette and kanji print wrap, and the starfish and seaweed colored raffia embellishments are fantastic. Plus, the sand dollar used as a gift tag? Brilliant!

An ocean themed Weekly Wrap this week is actually quite fitting, as we’re supposed to get deluged over the next couple of days in these parts. Whether you’re facing a monsoon, as I likely will be, or you have gloriously sunny and warm weather, I wish you a happy weekend!
