I’m totally digging these gig posters by Aaron Eiland, especially the Sia poster above. So very cute, and great texture elements. Aaron’s work has a great, mid-century kind of vibe, lots of clean shapes, with textures added here and there for dimension. Love it! Kathleen Lolley’s work is richly colored, slightly sinister, wonderfully surreal, and features many owls, so naturally I’m completely entranced by it. Storytelling and nature are prominent themes in Kathleen’s art, which reminds me a little bit of Hieronymus Bosch, one of my absolute favorite artists. Weekly Wrap #88 : Confetti Halloween

This week’s Weekly Wrap is one of the Halloween projects that I’ve shared on the new site : Confetti Stamped Halloween Treat Bags. It’s a super quick and simple project, and you can adapt your ink and bag colors to make confetti favor or treat bags for pretty much any occasion. Next week, my mom is coming up to visit from Pittsburgh, so I’ll be offline for most of the week, but I have lots of paper-iffic posts scheduled for all of next week (wouldn’t want your paper cravings to get out of hand while I’m gone), and I’ll see you back here in October!
