Sarah + Brent’s Typographic Letterpress Invitations

Modern Typographic Letterpress Invitations

Sarah + Brent’s gorgeous, green wedding invitation suite comes to us from Beloved Indeed Paperie, and Orange County, California based custom invitation and paper goods studio, and I’m completely enamored with the fresh shades of green against the clean white, as well as the sleek, ultra modern typography … with a bit of playfulness added in the forms of a casual, script font and wonderful, hand drawn map of the wedding and reception site.

Here’s what Ashley from Beloved Indeed has to say about this bold, modern suite:

Since the couple was married in June, the inspiration for this custom wedding invitation suite drew upon the freshness of summer greens and the simplicity of type. The purely typographic design was a perfect fit for letterpress, and the three tones of greens created an ombre effect. Although the couple wanted to keep the design clean with a sans-serif font, the incorporation of the casual script created a playful elegance and was used for the couple’s names, as well as important information on each card included in the suite.

The couple wanted to include a map to the wedding and reception site and, because they wanted it to be unique and playful, I hand drew the map that included fun little illustrations directing the guests to the site. The bright green enclosure envelope tied the greens and crisp white color palette of the invitation suite together perfectly, creating a beautiful bold contrast of colors.
