I was recently introduced to the work of artist Saelee Oh through a feature at Paper Forest, and I’m totally aswoon over her wonderful, whimsical creations. I love the way in which Saelee incorporates her paper cuts into mixed media work, weaving them seamlessly with illustrations to create textural landscapes. Her pure white, standalone paper cuts are quite beautiful, as well.
If you’re in the New York City area, you can to check out Saelee Oh’s exhibition at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery through February 13. Here’s a little eye candy from Saelee’s portfolio, and be sure to stop by her site to check out a couple of really fun stop motion animations that she created with Lana Kim.
