I loves me some quirky cards, and the Birthday Party Collection from Seattle-based Pilgrim Paper Co. is right up my alley. Fun illustrations? Check. Sweet treats? Yep. Quirky characters? Double check. A cat peeking out from a mountain of birthday boxes? Oh, yeah.

Pilgrim Paper Co. co-owners, Teresa Grasseschi and Kelly Bjork, illustrate all of their designs by hand in small, collectable narratives that focus on heart and humor. They believe that exceptional art should be affordable and functional, and all of their pieces are created with the hope of bridging that gap. I wholeheartedly agree with the idea that great art doesn’t have to be unaffordable, and I love what these ladies are doing.
