Pikku 2009 Calendar

Pikku 2009 Calendar

Pikku 2009 Calendar

One last lovely calendar for 2009 (I just can’t get enough!), this time from the ever chic Pikku. The “Grove” calendar features an original, modern illustration screenprinted onto Baltic birchwood. The design serves as a backdrop to elegant, letterpressed calendar pages which can be refilled in the years to come. Alternatively, the calendar backdrop becomes its own work of art and can be put on display as such when the year is finished.

Holiday Paper Craft Roundup, 2008 Edition

Hopefully, all of the chaos that tends to come with the holiday season is winding down for you and, hey, you may even have a little time to make some last minute crafts. I’ve compiled a list of some wonderful ones that I’ve spotted around the web this year, and I hope that you enjoy them, as well. Many of these would be great crafts to make with the kids, too!

Oh so pretty paper dreidel garland from BHG (their site requires you to register to download the PDF, but either way I thought this garland was great inspiration)

Yulia Brodskaya Paper Illustration

Yulia Brodskaya Quilled Illustration

Oh, my goodness. Quilling is right up there with paper cutting as one of my favorite paper crafts, and my jaw just about hit the floor when I spotted the work of Yulia Brodskaya over at swissmiss. Yulia’s absolutely breathtaking work truly takes quilling to the next level. The detail, the color, the skill involved in these creations — I’m so inspired, and I hope that you will be, too.
