The Happy Envelope

The Happy Envelope

I’m just loving everything that I’ve seen from The Happy Envelope. Sarah Pattison, the designer behind the fab line, started her career in advertising and design, where she obtained all of the building blocks that she would need to build a stationery company. After designing a few wedding invitations for friends as side work, she knew she had found her passion, and The Happy Envelope was born!

The Happy Envelope

The Happy Envelope’s offerings now include a must see portfolio of four gorgeous wedding invitation collections, custom stationery and invitation design, and a new line of thermography printed boxed and single cards, which Sarah describes as having a “great raised, bumpy texture”. I’m loving the sounds of that! Find a retailer here, and check out their collection of wedding invitation designs, available through Minted.

Kamal Letterpress Coasters and Cards

I was first introduced to the work of Kamal when I spotted Design*Sponge’s “Best in Show” post during the National Stationery Show. Since then, Kamal has launched an entire line of beautiful letterpress coasters and cards featuring stylized nature and botanical inspired illustrations and patterns. I love their use of color and metallic accents and can’t get enough of this collection, which you can now purchase on their site. Yay!
All of Kamal’s goods are created with hand mixed ink and printed onto eco-friendly 100% cotton paper or 100% kraft chipboard with 100% post-consumer kraft envelopes.

I stumbled upon NYC based letterpress shop Publicide’s gorgeous Flickr photostream the other day and just had to share their work with those of you who aren’t already familiar with it. I’m just loving the gorgeous illustration and type combinations featured in their letterpress wedding invitations and business cards. Publicide also offers print and web design services, as well as digital printing.

Vale Design Free Printable Summer Gift Tags

Vale Design Printable Gift Tags

The lovely Erin from Vale Design has just released another awesome free printable. These summer-themed gift tags were inspired by a bee who tried to sting her! Thankfully, it sounds like she wasn’t stung, and the result of the attempt is much prettier than a nasty bee sting. These pink and yellow pretties are the perfect embellishment for summer gifts. You can download them right here. Thank you, Erin, for your generosity!

How to Make Japanese Masking Tape Garlands

Satsuma Press Garland Tutorial

Lynn Russell of the fabulous letterpress shop, Satsuma Press, was a guest blogger over at oh so inspirational bridal blog, Style Me Pretty, yesterday, and she shared this tutorial for making a chic and fun garland from yummy cotton ribbon and Japanese masking tape. So pretty!

Satsuma Press Garland Tutorial

I can’t help but think that this project will inspire many crafters to create projects using Japanese masking tape, which is super hot right now. Perhaps we’re seeing the start a new trend, a la the recent security envelope trend? Either way, this garland is a simple way to make a big impact at a wedding, birthday party, or any special occasion. Fourth of July garland, anyone?
