How to Make Bunting from Vintage Book Pages

I recently discovered the oh so gorgeous blog, twoandsix, and one of the first posts that I saw featured pretty bunting made from vintage book pages. I was hooked!

Bunting seems to be a growing trend, and I’m loving it because I always feel festive when I see it. Michelle from twoandsix shows us how to make our very own bunting from vintage book pages, and the result is lovely. Oh, how I wish that I hadn’t donated those two big bags of books, especially an old Portuguese to English Dictionary, when we moved last year! What was I thinking?!

Wedvert / Yoko Chapman DIY Templates

I’ve known about the beautiful Wedvert eco friendly wedding invitation line, designed by Yoko Chapman, but what I didn’t know was that Yoko has designed coordinating DIY templates for each of her invitation designs. When I spotted these gorgeous printables over at iDiY, I was floored! For each wedding invitation design, you can download (for free!) matching candle shade, envelope wrap, votive wrap, and fortune cookie templates to complete the look. I love that the fortune cookie templates also come with lots of different fortunes that you can place inside.

The possibilities are just about endless with these templates. For instance, I think that the fortune cookie templates would make great tags or even stickers / labels. Many thanks to Wedvert for creating and sharing!

Nan Lawson Hand Painted Cards

I was completely taken with these darling little cupcake and moustache cards as soon as I saw them. Each card is hand drawn and painted by artist Nan Lawson, so you’ll be receiving unique mini works of art when you purchase a set. I could see these framed and hung in a grouping on a wall, as well as being used as cards or sweet little gift tags.
