They will be selling samples of their letterpress invitations for just $1 each (price is regularly $5 each), with all proceeds to be donated to American Forests. This is a fantastic opportunity to score some beautiful letterpress samples while helping out a great cause! Bella Figura is offering free shipping on the samples, too, so this really is a great deal.

Free Printable Space Stickers by Lotta Bruhn

Lotta Bruhn Space Stickers

Space is always a popular theme, and I am loving these super cute printable space-themed stickers, made by illustrator Lotta Bruhn. The stickers include spacemen, rockets, spaceships, planets, stars, and the moon, and you can print them onto sticker paper to create adorable custom stickers to give to the kids to play with or to use as party favors. You could also print them onto cardstock and make gift tags or a fun garland. Lots of possibilities!

Craftig : Social Bookmarking for Crafters

Craftig : Craft Is Good

This week, I was so excited to launch a website that I’ve been working on for the past few months. Craftig, aka Craft Is Good, is a social bookmarking site specifically for crafters. I’ve been a craft lover for years and was inspired to create the site when I realized that there was no way, even with all of the craft blogs that I follow, to possibly see everything that was going on in the online craft world. It was sad for me to think that I was missing so many wonderfully creative projects, and I thought that it would be a good idea to create a site where anyone who creates or has an interest in crafts could go to submit and share their own crafts or their favorites from around the web.

Head on over to Craftig to sign up for a free account and quickly get started with sharing links, as well as voting and saving your favorites. I can’t wait to see what you share! Oh, and I’ll be tweeting about all things craft over @craftig.

I’m so happy about the response that I received so far, and I’m excited to see how the Craftig site will develop over the coming months. Many thanks to everyone who has been supportive of the site and given it a mention on websites, Twitter, etc.! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your support.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Silhouettes, Silhouettes

I’m seeing silhouettes everywhere over the past several months, and I can’t get enough of them! I also can’t get enough of the unique ways in which silhouettes are being used and incorporated in design, and below are just a few that have caught my eye lately:

Silhouettes

1. A custom silhouette, created by Le Papier Studio and printed by Studio on Fire, makes an original and elegant custom wedding invitation

2. The Inspired Bride shares a step by step tutorial with us for this beautiful silhouette favor box

3. Elsita adds a touch of her trademark whimsy to a paper cut silhouette of a young girl

4. Intricate paper cut silhouette work from Flickr user Honeymil

5. A pink and brown “Sweet Sixteen” card gets a sweet silhouette, courtesy of Annie Clark for Minted

6. Die cut silhouettes with letterpress detailing hint at the words inside this lovely card by d.sharp

7. Designers Jen Davison and Jason Blackheart of DavisonBlackheart created custom business cards that blend Victorian silhouettes with a contemporary design aesthetic, printed by Pinball Publishing

8. Not quite paper, but I love, love these hand screenprinted handkerchief save the dates, featured recently on Style Me Pretty
