Paper Crave Reader Survey Update

Thank you to everyone who has taken the Paper Crave reader survey so far. Your feedback has been great — keep it coming! For those of you who haven’t yet taken the survey, you still have plenty of time. I’m taking submissions until September 14, and remember that completion of the survey also enters you to win one of two free copies of Home, Paper, Scissors by Patricia Zapata.

I’ve noticed in the feedback that I’ve received so far that a few of you have been having issues seeing images in your RSS feed reader or in your emails. If those of you who have been having trouble have a few moments, would you mind either commenting here or emailing me (kristenATpapercraveDOTcom) and letting me know which feed reader or email program you’re using? I’m trying to get to the bottom of this, and your input will greatly help!

Have a great weekend, everyone. It’s a long weekend here in the US with the Labor Day holiday, so I will see you all back here on Tuesday!

Oh Joy! for Chronicle Books

Oh Joy! has a new collection of paper goods at Chronicle Books, and everything is absolutely beautiful. The collection includes mix and match stationery, mailers, Joy’s signature metallic foil stamped file folders, labels, stickers, and sticky notes. I’m loving the color palette, which features teal, white, and warm browns and grays:

I posted about this gorgeous project the other day on Twitter, but I knew that I must mention it here, too, because it’s just that awesome! Amy from Eat Drink Chic has outdone herself with this ice cream parlor buffet concept — the beautiful and inspiring pictures will make you want to throw your own ice cream parlor-themed party ASAP, I guarantee it. And Amy shares not only the inspiration, but all of the gorgeous labels and signs for you to download for free, too! Wow, huh? You can see all of the inspiring ice cream parlour images and download the printables at Eat Drink Chic.

Basic Grey Eerie Collection

Basic Grey Eerie

There’s much inspiration to be found in these spooky patterned papers from Basic Grey’s new Eerie collection. Bats, spiderwebs, skulls, a cool and somewhat psychedelic wood grain-ish pattern (you know I love that one), spiders, and lightning bolts are just some of the Halloween icons included, and all of the papers are grungy and aged looking in the Basic Grey style. They’ve even made a kit so you can create neat little skull favors for your Halloween parties:

The collection is new enough that it doesn’t appear that the big online scrapbooking shops are carrying it yet, but I’ll add a link here when I see it somewhere for sale.

Helen Dardik Art Prints

Helen Dardik Giclee Print

I’m a huge fan of illustrator Helen Dardik’s work, and I was stoked to see that she’s recently added several limited edition giclee art prints of her illustrations to her Etsy shop. The only difficult part is trying to decide which illustration I’d like to decorate my walls because they’re all so cool! More of Helen’s prints:
