John Boardley of ilovetypography.com recently commissioned Typoretum letterpress studio to print a typographical design set in the recently released digital font, Restraint, and the result is stunning. The relief plate used to create the letterpress prints is a work of art in and of itself! Origami Roses

I spotted these beautiful origami roses over at Folding Trees, and even though they look a little complicated, I think that they would be a fun weekend project once you get the hang of making them. Folding tutorials for three types of roses — the Bird Base Rose (top), the Standard Rose (middle), and the Kawasaki Rose (bottom) — are included over at Bloomize. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Present & Correct Library Notebooks

There’s just something about any type of book with a library pocket in the back, don’t you think? Present & Correct hasn’t missed a detail with their new Library Notebooks, which feature handprinted wrap around covers in two “titles”, Basic Robot Engineering by Ann Droid and An Encyclopaedia of Poisons by R.C. Nick. I love it! The notebooks also include a library ticket and pocket, where you can keep notes, receipts, extra stamps, or what have you.
