Valentine’s Day Cards Roundup, Part 1

It’s hard to believe that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, but sweet cards in pinks, reds, and peaches are popping up all over, so I guess this means that Love Day will soon be here! I’m starting up my roundups this year with a cute and clever collection of letterpress lovelies, and I hope that you will find the perfect card for your valentine somewhere amongst them.

Girl Scouts Scrapbook Paper

Girl Scout cookie season seems to be in full swing, and it’s reminded me of a scrapbooking collection that I spotted at the craft store a few months back. Though this collection isn’t quite my style, it features some cute patterns and stickers that have brought back lots of memories of my years as a Brownie.

I loved my little Brownie sash full of badges. Well, it wasn’t actually that full because I was only in Brownies for a couple of years and never graduated to the Girl Scout level, but I still have many good memories of playing light as a feather, stiff as a board at Girl Scout camp with the older girls and selling the rainbow colored boxes of Girl Scout cookies. I didn’t really enjoy the selling part, but I loved eating the cookies. My favorites were the Trefoils and Thin Mints. What were/are your favorites?

Here are some of the cute papers in K & Company’s Girl Scouts of the USA collection (there’s a Boy Scout collection, too):

Though the patterned papers in this specialty paper pack in the collection aren’t for individual sale, I think I like some of them as much or more than the designs in the main collection. The rainbow madras pattern on the reverse of the paisley patterned paper (upper right) is my favorite:
