Stationery Show 2011 Sneak Peek : Pie Bird Press

Pie Bird Press paper goods are always so colorful and fun, and I’m stoked about the new goodies that they’ll be debuting at the National Stationery Show. In addition to cards, this year they’ll be venturing into the world of home goods and accessories with screenprinted pencil cases, tea towels, and totes, and they’ll also be revealing new journal and notebook designs embellished with their bold, colorful illustrations. Here’s a little sneaky peek at some of the new goodies that you’ll find in the Pie Bird Press booth (booth #1553):

Coral + Grey Letterpress Wedding Invites

Coral and Grey Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Ooh, ready for some gorgeous invitations? This romantic suite was created by Salt + Pepper Press (photos by Sarah Q Photography) for Katie and Blake’s mid-April wedding, which took place on the lush grounds of the University of Texas Golf Club, and I’m completely enamored with all of the gorgeous coral and grey letterpress paper goods that were a part of this celebration.

The invitation suite features lovely calligraphy, and the invite and rsvp were tied together with baker’s twine and finished with a tag featuring a quote by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. The romantic coral and grey color scheme was carried through to all of the paper details, including patterned table numbers, menus, and cookie signs.

Student Work : Jess Riddle’s Hatch Show Print Invitations

Hatch Show Print Event Invitation

I’m really digging the exploration of type and color in these Hatch Show Print event invitations by Jess Riddle, a senior at the University of Delaware and intern at the font-tastic House Industries. Jess designed the invites, which are printed on wood, in five different color schemes, and each design features a different mix imagery in its own bold color palette. Of course, my favorite is the fuchsia and navy blue design shown above. Still lovin’ the navy blue!

Stationery Show 2011 Sneak Peek : Wildhorse Press

I have a case of the sads because I won’t be able to make it to this year’s National Stationery Show, but I’ll be celebrating the occasion in my own way over the next couple of weeks by sharing sneak peeks of some of the awesome paper goodies that will be making their debut at the show.

Wildhorse Press Letterpress Cards

Wildhorse Press will be making their show debut this year in the lovely Ladies of Letterpress booths (booth# 2362, 2364, 2366, 2368), and their work is already making a splash in the stationery community; Wildhorse’s “Teepee Moving Postcard Set” has been selected as a finalist in the Best New Product competition in the Paper Style category at the show, and “Tooth Fairy Mail” has is also a finalist in the Lifestyle category. This new collection of letterpress cards and prints is so colorful and unique, and I’m looking forward to their online shop launch in June.
