Weekly Wrap #73 : Wrinkle-Free Ribbon

I had a total “a-ha” moment when I spotted this idea from Real Simple and just had to share it here. If you’re like me and don’t like throwing ribbon away (years of pretty ribbons from holiday and birthday gifts over here), then you might have, say, a box full of gorgeous but wrinkly ribbon stashed away somewhere. I’ve thought about having an “iron my ribbon” afternoon, where I break out the iron and ironing board, but using a flat iron as a ribbon smoother would be so much easier.

Will We Have Rainbows Printable

I got such a warm feeling of nostalgia when I saw the “Will We Have Rainbows” art print that Nicole from Making It Lovely designed for her daughter, Eleanor’s, new bedroom. Nicole’s inspiration came from Doris Day’s Que Sera Sera, one of her grandmother’s favorites, and a song that I remember listening to over and over on my record player when I was a little girl. Man, I miss that old record player … and my Smurfs album and Wham! 45s.

These art prints by Atpalicis, a Ukrainian Etsy shop, are so completely adorable. The whimsical illustrations have visions of fairytales dancing in my head, and the watercolor-like washes of color give the prints such a warm and cozy feel.

Love Your Letters Workshop Giveaway

Are you head over heels for all things hand-lettered? I know that I am! And I’m super excited that Gina Sekelsky, aka Lettergirl, is going to be offering “Love Your Letters”, a workshop for those of us who want to develop our own hand-lettering skills.

Gina’s gathered nearly 20 years of hand-lettering tips and tricks into this self-paced workshop, which is designed to help you love your own handwriting. Workshop packets start shipping on June 1, and Gina has offered one lucky Paper Crave reader a spot in the class. Sweet!
