Weekly Wrap #83 : Double-Sided Swoon

Gift Wrap Ideas

Bespoke Press Double-Sided Gift Wrap

It took quite a bit of willpower for me to wait until Friday to post about this gorgeous new collection of gift wrap by Bespoke Press, but I knew it would be the perfect thing to feature in this week’s Weekly Wrap. The new double-sided wraps are so sophisticated and modern, just like all of the lovely letterpress designs that Bespoke creates, and the three available designs — mustard yellow vintage hot air balloons/grey zig zag, duck egg blue flying cranes/watermelon polka dots, and dusty pink strawberries/vintage brown kaleidoscope —  are wonderful for just about every occasion.

Cranky Princess Art Prints by Heather Ross

Cranky Princess Art Prints

I had a good giggle as soon as I spotted Heather Ross’ Cranky Princess art prints over on Creature Comforts recently. Though I’m sure that only made Miss Princess more cranky, I just couldn’t help myself. The princess may be grumpy, but she’s also quite endearing. And I can totally understand why she’s cranky. Wouldn’t you be a little grouchy if a you were stuck in a tower and your beautiful, long hair was being defiled by a bird? I know I would be.

Secrets and Symbols of Deseret

Secrets and Symbols of Deseret

Something amazing happens when the AIGA, The Mandate Press, and Dan Christofferson (aka BeeTeeth) team up for a project. Remember the awesome letterpress tattoo posters that I featured back in February? Yep,  amazing. Well, they’re at it again with a new project, created for next year’s AIGA conference, which will be held in Salt Lake City.

Mandate Press Letterpress Pamphlet

Dan Christofferson Illustration

Dan, who designed the artwork, is a bit of an expert in interesting (and sometimes absurd) Utah history, and his knowledge inspired this tarot card-like letterpress pamphlet that features fun highlights like “an engorged seagull, a solid gold railroad spike, a cryptic alphabet” and a freaky, bearded skull dude, who was nicknamed “the Destroying Angel of Mormondom”. Totally fun, no?

Porter Rockwell

The Mandate Press printed this kick butt piece, which was no small feat, I’m sure. Check out additional images and details about this unique project right here.

Tine’s Chic Pink & Black Shower Invitations

Pink & Black Bridal Shower Invitations

There’s something so chic about a pink and black color palette, don’t you think? And these gorgeous bridal shower invitations by b.t. elements have it going on in spades! These pink and black beauties were designed for Tine, one of the graphic designers at b.t.e., and feature fancy cut envelopes and custom back pockets from b.t. elements’ new line. The design was inspired by a Bride’s Magazine feature, which included a selection of darling favor boxes from the b.t.e. collection.

Pink and Black Bridal Shower

These glamourous shower invitations include so many great details that give this classic chic color combo a contemporary edge, including bold striped envelope liners, playful, modern typography, and super cool striped washi tape accents. And how awesome is the light pink calligraphy against the rich, black envelopes? Totally awesome, I say.
