It’s giveaway time! If you like vintage, then you’re going to love Jenni Bowlin’s Be Our Guest kit. JBS Mercantile is giving one of these fantabulous kits away to a lucky Paper Crave reader, and man does this kit have a lot of great paper crafting goodies.

I just finished an accordion-fold scrapbook album in a box for my Maid of Honour and sister-in-law with dried flowers from her bouquet and pictures of us on the day. Turned out really well!

I’m working on a little book for my best friend. It’s a little picture book for her to put pictures of her little boy – she is due today (Monday 16th), though not expected for a day a two. I think I might be just as exited as her if she was my sister! ^^

I’m handcrafting petal cards for a bridal shower invitation. It’s going to be a garden party theme and I’m printing my own paper with a custom repeat pattern to cut the petal cards from. Such a fun project!

I am currently building cherry blossom origami garlands. Since where I live is quite hard to find nice patterned paper, I usually print your free wrapping paper downloads and use them for my origami projects.

Just completed a packaging project (for scarves/placemats/rugs) for an eco-friendly non-profit with craft paper wraps tied with jute twine and colored pastry string; topped off with a corrugated cardboard hangtag (hand cut from left-over boxes and hole-punched…yes – hand muscles are SORE) with custom designed/printed sticker/label wrap.

I’m working on hollowing out deacquisitioned/out-dated/overly mass-produced books into purses. They’re so expensive when you buy them at craft shows, and the handles aren’t usually in my taste, so I thought of giving a crack at it myself!
I might hollow out a flask-holder for a friend while I’m handling these dusty things too.

June is birthday month in my family! Mom-in-law, father-in-law, best friend, 3 cousins, my dad AND my husband… As well as having Fathers Day in June too! I stared making cards a month ago and am barely half way 🙂 I try to make each card unique with colour/collage/texture/embellishment that will be meaningful to each recipient and reflect some of their interest as well as my sentiment for each of them…
And I make sure the wrapping/presentation of each gift ties in with the theme or feel of this years birthday … I hope that each of them knows how special and loved they are and that I can have a small part in making their day beautiful

I have been making origami jewelry and jewelry boxes as thank you gifts for all my friends who helped me on another project a while ago. And I just finished making a wishing tree with origami butterflies and an absolutely cute origami dress and tie/ shirt bunting for a friend’s baby shower (they don’t know whether they are having a girl or a boy)

I’ve been working on my Project Life album…I did a DIY version, and have been also experimenting with different types of cameras to capture the moment. Anticipating the first roll of film to come back from my Holga camera…will probably create a mini album for that. Thanks for the wonderful blog!

I just finished working on a set of graduation announcements for my younger sister to send to our relatives and her friends. They all featured the same layout (a fairly minimalistic one) but with different, coordinating papers. This was my first big project since our wedding invites a year ago and I was pleased to feel the inspiration flow again — sometimes I struggle with feeling very creative, so it was nice to know I’ve still got ‘it’! Can I just say I covet gorgeous paper and really just love surrounding myself
with the inspiration that has gone into it.
Mood boards, wrapping and all the uses of course but more love the inspiration,
use of colour and pattern.

last week i finished making all sorts of fun things for our staff BBQ. invites, paper signs, and meal tickets in cute little coin envelopes. next up: i need to catch up on my scrapbooks!

Just finished a tag booklet for a friend’s wedding – it served as a modular guest book, the bonus being that everyone could write their wishes at the same time instead of waiting for others to finish first. It was a big hit!

I am working on 2 projects. I love finding vintage items and repurposing them. The first thing I’m working on is: a vintage wooden letter holder that you hang on the wall. I’m painting off white and covering the fronts of the pockets that hold the mail or bills with vintage inspired scrapbook paper. Then I’m stamping “photos” on the pockets to hold some old photos. The second thing is a old shadow box that I’m covering with girly scrapbook paper and painting the inside then putting a black and white photo of my niece with a rub on that says “daughter”
