Rag & Bone Bindery Albums + Custom Calligraphy

Rag & Bone Bindery Albums

I’m a longtime admirer of Rag & Bone Bindery‘s albums and journals, and it was such a treat to be able to meet Jason and Ilira in person at the National Stationery Show this past May and to see all of their beautiful albums on display. If you’re on the hunt for beautiful wedding albums, guestbooks, photo albums, journals, and baby books, then the Rag & Bone site is a must see. I love that they have so many cover options, too, ranging from bold and bright patterns to understated solids.

Rag & Bone is holding a virtual trunk show until Sunday, and you can save 25% on one-of-a-kind samples and unique cover options. Plenty of beautiful albums to be had!

Here’s a little eye candy from their ready to order line:

I think it’s fantastic that Rag & Bone also offers custom calligraphy for any of their albums and journals. They work with calligrapher Maria Thomas, whose work is absolutely gorgeous, and you’re really only limited by your imagination with personalization options. One man had a personalized album made for his girlfriend based on the movie “Up”, and one bride had a photo album personalized with names and the date on the first page, followed by chapter pages with personalized titles like “getting ready”, “at the church”, “the ceremony”, etc. Baby albums, wedding albums, bar and bat mitzvahs, travel albums — so many possibilities.

Here are just a few examples of Maria’s wonderful custom calligraphy:

Cooking Themed Bridal Shower Invitations

Cooking Themed Bridal Shower Invitations by Paisly Quill

Hello, Buttermilk! I am completely taken with these cooking / kitchen themed bridal shower invitations that Molly from Paisley Quill created for her soon to be sister-in-law’s bridal shower. What about this custom designed suite isn’t fantastic? I’m digging pretty much everything about it, from the unexpected palette of bold red-orange, yellow, navy, gray and soft pink to the angled type, patterned envelope liners, and coordinating recipe cards.

You can check out more of Paisley Quill’s wonderful invitation work here. And these woodland themed wedding invitations are a must see, too. Now, more cooking-themed invitation eye candy!

Stitched Booklet Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Oh my gorgeous! I’m loving what seems to be a growing trend in storybook style wedding invitations, and these lovelies, designed for Amy + Adam by Craig Duffney of BBDO New York and printed by the always fierce Studio on Fire, are jaw-droppingly beautiful.

The stitched booklet invites feature two sets of illustrated capitals and graphics — soft, rounded, romantic elements in a lighter green for the bride and rougher, spiked elements in olive green for the groom — which intermingle wonderfully to create this magical suite. Adam, the groom, is originally from Ontario, Canada, and I love how the Canadian maple leaf was incorporated into his graphics.

Envelopments Roll-O-Decks Giveaway

Envelopments Roll-O-Decks

I love great cardstock, rainbows, and stylish office accessories so, naturally, I’m completely jazzed about this giveaway from Envelopments. They just launched a creative new product called Roll-O-Decks, and they’re offering Paper Crave readers a chance to win one! And, hey, you guys are in luck, because Nole at Oh So Beautiful Paper is having a giveaway for one, too. Enter here and then head over to her site to enter for a second chance to win!

Envelopments Roll-O-Decks

The Roll-O-Decks, originally created as a creative way to capture contact information during the 2010 HOW Design Conference, was such a hit that Envelopments decided to make it a part of their line. The decks feature 500 die cut insert cards (4 each of 125 colors) in a spectrum of vibrant colors and patterns. If you’re familiar with the Envelopments line of cardstock, then you know how much this rocks!

So, how do you enter? It’s easy! Just leave a comment on this post to let me know how you would use your Roll-O-Decks — will you use it as a colorful way to organize your business cards, as a color wheel for brainstorming new design project palettes, as a new twist on the traditional wedding guestbook, or will you continually twirl it around repeatedly during a daydream break from work and wonder at the pretty colors? So many great possibilities, and dozens more that haven’t even crossed my mind, so I can’t wait to hear your ideas!

Roll-O-Decks are sold at Envelopments sans stand, but they’re going to be including a handy dandy stand to the winner of this giveaway, so your Roll-O-Decks will, pardon the pun, be ready to roll straight out of the box. The giveaway will run to August 10, 2010 at midnight eastern. One entry per person.

New Letterpress Wedding Invitations by Pistachio Press

Pistachio Press just launched three new letterpress wedding invitation designs, and they’re all absolutely gorgeous! I can’t decide which I like the best, but I think I have a big crush on the Mexican Tile design. I absolutely love the design elements, and the shade of ink that’s used in this example is fab-u-lous!

So darling — bunnies and bunting!

And I’m really liking the stylized feathers in this design. If you chose an autumnal color for this suite — all of the invitations have customizable color and font options — you’ll have a beautiful feather/leaf look for a fall wedding or occasion.

Pistachio Press uses rubber-based inks and biodegradable citrus-based solvents for press clean-up, and they print on 100% tree-free cotton papers or recycled papers that contain at least 30% post-consumer waste. They also re-use or recycle office and shipping supplies.
