Lima Botanical Letterpress Wedding Invitations by Hello Tenfold

It’s been a little while since I’ve featured wedding invitations, but I’m going to remedy that right now by sharing the absolutely stunning, new Lima wedding suite from Hello Tenfold.

This gorgeous suite, a wonderful choice for a destination or beach wedding, was created from a series of hand drawn botanical illustrations, which were transformed into silhouettes that perfectly and elegantly frame the wedding details throughout the suite. The main pieces, including the invitations, save the dates, and reply cards, are letterpress printed in a transparent neutral (the botanical silhouettes) and a deep, charcoal grey (the details) for a look that’s a touch casual and so very chic and sophisticated.

In addition, Ellie from Hello Tenfold has posted a very cool behind the scenes time lapse video of her styling this suite over on Instagram, so you’ll want to head on over and check that out!

Wedding Invitation Trendspotting : Oval Frames

I always look forward to the launch of a new collection from Minted because 1) hello, pretty paper, and 2) the talented community of designers at Minted always provides a fresh take on the hottest trends, and they often plant the seeds for new and emerging trends, as well.

Minted recently introduced their 2015 wedding invitation collection and, in addition to gorgeous, on trend, floral-themed and foil stamped invitation designs, I also noticed a number of designs that incorporate classic frame elements. There are sleek circle and rectangular frames, as well as more funky geometric and gem-inspired frames, which are totally cool, and the frames that really caught my eye are the ovals. From outstanding floral wreaths to painterly abstracts and geological-inspired designs, oval frames are popping up all over the place. I’m calling this an emerging trend, and one that I’m totally on board with, by the way.

Here are some of my oval-framed faves from the new Minted wedding invite collection:

Hello Tenfold 2015 Wedding : Miles

Ellie Snow of Hello Tenfold has been creating gorgeous wedding invitation designs for years, but this is the very first that she’s released a larger group of designs at once, and I am completely smitten with the results. Hello Tenfold’s 2015 wedding collection features so many absolutely beautiful designs, from the Victorian-inspired yet modern Flora to the textured and paint splashed Dash to the mid-century textile-inspired Miles, which I’m featuring today.

Miles is one dapper dude, and he certainly shows it, with a mix of perfectly coordinated patterns that give him some seriously stylin’ texture and sleek, chic typography from his head to his toes. Not one for ostentation, Miles finishes off his ensemble with a classic ivory cotton ribbon and an understated yet sophisticated gold foil hang tag.

Postage Frame Rubber Stamps by Anticipate

It’s a brand new year, and you know what that means? Yep, it’s time for some fresh paper cravings!

First up is this awesome, new collection of “postage frame” rubber stamps from Anticipate. These clever stamps were designed to add a bit of fun and whimsy to an envelope’s postage stamps, and they are the perfect “frames” for most vintage and current postage.

Each of the frame designs, which range in style from clean and simple to ornate, is available in a variety of shapes and sizes. Use a single frame to add a touch of whimsy to your envelopes, or use multiple frames to create a gallery wall effect. Pretty neat, huh?

Anticipate also offers curated sets of vintage postage stamps that coordinate beautifully with the frame stamps.

Suzy Ultman’s Adorable Fox Letterpress Wedding Invites

I am such a big fan of Suzy Ultman’s work and always look forward to her collaborations with Igloo Letterpress. So, naturally, I was in paper and illustration and letterpress-loving heaven when Suzy shared two recent collaborative projects (tune in on Thursday to see the second), one of which was her absolutely adorable, fox-themed letterpress wedding stationery and the coordinating wedding decorations, which reignited my love for shrinky dinks.

Adorable Fox Letterpress Wedding Invitations | Suzy Ultman (Design) + Igloo Letterpress (Printing)

Suzy shares the fun and foxy details:

My partner and I both enjoy being part of the creative process, so coming up with the vibe of our wedding was a team effort from start to finish. We penned a long to-do list, met once a week over date night, and set off with planning the festive, fox-filled celebration.

The invitation was the first order of business. The fox bride and groom characters were inspired by our backyard. About two years ago, we had a mischievous, red fox visit our yard for the first time. An entire family has since moved into the neighborhood, and we keep track of their comings and goings. The remaining invitation icons – sun, moon, lighthouse, ship, hot air balloon, and other illustrations – all tell mini stories that have special meaning to us.

Fox Shrinky Dink Charms | Suzy Ultman

Suzy returned to her shrinky dink roots for the reception table settings, baking small charms with each guest’s name and a corresponding boy or girl fox. The charms were attached to napkins and placed on top of handmade menus.

In addition, Suzy created super sweet cake toppers from shrinky dinks, which are now available in her Etsy shop (yay!). The shrinky dink material allowed her to play with the topper’s shape and content, while maintaining a clean, modern look. Other lovely, coordinating wedding details included love-struck candles, flag-topped cupcakes, modern ivy banners, and even tulips, a nod to her adopted homeland of Holland.
