Like it or not — I definitely like it — fall is on its way. The weather was a bit chilly here over the weekend, and a touch of autumn was in the air. It made me think of all of the wonderful things that are to come in what is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, seasons. Spiced apple cider, pumpkins everywhere, warm and comforting foods, Halloween, and beautiful falling leaves, like those found in the colorful Poplar Leaves Gocco print by artist Mindy Wilson. Typoretum + I Love Typography = Awesome

John Boardley of ilovetypography.com recently commissioned Typoretum letterpress studio to print a typographical design set in the recently released digital font, Restraint, and the result is stunning. The relief plate used to create the letterpress prints is a work of art in and of itself! Lauren Gregg Nerdimals Prints

Okay, I think that I’m running out of walls on which to put all of the fantastic prints that I covet. My latest loves are illustrator Lauren Gregg’s Nerdimals limited edition prints and, well, you just have to see them to know their awesomeness! There’s the Record Store Nerd, the Mac Nerd, the Classic Nerd, the Knitting Nerd, the Trekkie Nerd, the Band Nerd, the Star Wars Nerd, the Grit Nerd, and the Dungeons and Dragons Nerd. Do you identify with any? I’m probably the Classic Nerd, though if I knitted I’d totally be the Knitting Nerd!

Looky Loo Stationery and Design

New Prints from Tad Carpenter

I’m a big fan of illustrator Tad Carpenter, and I’m totally digging his newest prints. Heroic knights, sleepy kitty cats, happy whales, barking dachshunds, and sweet birdies — what’s not to love?
