I’m completely digging these vintage style comic character posters by illustrator/designer Michael Myers. The stylized illustrations and digitally aged paper combine for a very cool effect. You can purchase the posters at Michael’s Imagekind shop. Here’s more cool comic eye candy:

Update: DC has contacted Imagekind to have the posters removed for copyright reasons. Bummer. Well, it was still a really cool concept, even if you can’t purchase the posters anymore!

Fantastic hand lettering + letterpress printing = love. And that’s exactly what I’m feeling about these letterpress prints from Friends of Type (Aaron Carambula, Dennis Payongayong, Erik Marinovich, and Jason Wong), printed by Jordan Provost of Enormous Champion. Paper Cut Artist Bovey Lee

How did it take me so long to discover the absolutely amazing paper cut work of artist Bovey Lee? Talk about jaw-droppingly intricate, and she uses delicate rice paper to create her papercuts, which makes her work all that much more … wow. You can find out more about Bovey Lee, who is based in Pittsburgh, PA, on her portfolio site and through her blog, where she frequently posts updates about her work. I loved reading her “20 Reasons Why I Love Cutting Paper” post.
