Roddy & Ginger’s tagline is “happy products for you and your home”, and I have no doubt that their art prints and textiles would happy up any home. I’m loving their illustration style, which is a merry mix of mid-century and folk art, and am already envisioning what these fun screenprints would look like on the walls of my future house.

El Calotipo

I first spotted El Calotipo, a Spanish printing studio and center for book art and design, on Flickr a couple of years back and, ever since, I anticipate seeing their gorgeous paper projects. The printers, artists, and designers working out of the El Calotipo studio create a little bit of everything, from amazing letterpress business cards to packaging and wedding invitations, and I’m always looking forward to seeing what’s new.

Special Brews Screenprints from Peskimo

I have no idea what our future house is going to look like, but I do hope that the kitchen has a nice, big wall where I can hang art prints like these from Peskimo’s “Special Brews” series. Holy cow, these are awesome, and they make me want to drink more tea. Speaking of, do you have a favorite tea? My favorites are African Rooibos and Winter Spice from Mountain Rose Herbs.

It’s always a great “paper day” for me when Tag Team Tompkins introduces new designs, and their four new letterpress art prints are absolutely lovely. The new prints feature Tag Team Tompkins’ trademark blend of letterpress, papercutting, and hand drawn calligraphy, as well as quotes that inspire happiness, love, and passion. What a wonderful way to welcome spring!

N O V U K by José Santamarina

I have been inspired by so much of the incredible, dimensional paper art that I’ve seen over the past few months, and N O V U K, a limited edition collection by José Santamarina, blew me away. I love the clean, geometric look of each box and pop-up in the collection, and the mix of fine cardboard and translucent, vibrantly colored acetate gives the pieces wonderful contrast and textural interest.

Santamarina, a renowned Spanish graphic designer with a career that spans decades, hand crafts each piece in the series as a unique model. Each series consists of 25 limited edition copies, numbered and signed by the artist.

N O V U K is an open collection, and new pieces will be added regularly. I know that I’ll be checking back to see what’s new.
