Well, ladies and gents, it’s time for my final calendar roundup of the season. And, wowsa, there have been lots of awesome ones this year, including the bunch that I’ll be sharing in just a minute. And if you’re looking for many, many more fantastic designs, be sure to check out all of the 2012 calendar designs that I’ve featured this season. Studio on Fire’s Positive Apocalypse 2012 letterpress desk calendar is filled with wild, neon-colored (love!) illustrations for each month of the year. Contributing illustrators include Missy Austin, Brian Gunderson, Jolby, and Tuesday Bassen.

W+K Studio’s 2012 letterpress calendar features awesome illustrations by Sarah Baugh, Christina Piluso, Jason Murray, Aaron Rayburn, Anne Coté, Mirtho Prepont, Lloyd Winter, Janine Byrne, Katie McHugh, Alisha Henson, Nishat Akhtar, Rehanah Spence, Sarah Hollowood and Brad Simon. The calendar was printed by Chelsea Guidry.

Pawling’s 4 page quarterly calendar features minimalist, hand drawn illustrations inspired by traditional textile patterns.

Each of the months in Pinkerton Design’s 2012 calendar features a different, brightly colored original pattern, and it has an easel for standing on a desk and a hook for hanging, too.

Little Bright Studio’s gorgeous Constellations of the Northern Hemisphere calendar features screenprinted silver metallic constellations (and dates) on a backdrop as dark as the night sky. $5 from the sale of each calendar goes toward funding The Planetary Society.

Mink Letterpress’ 2012 Vintage Handkerchief calendar (pre-order now – ships on or before December 12) features six different handkerchief designs – check out the luscious letterpress texture!

Blackbird Letterpress’ Here Comes the Rain calendar is pays tribute and sends hope to all of the places in the world that need rain right now. Letterpress printed from a linoleum cut and hand set type in seafoam green and orange.

Inspired by the thoughtfulness of sending (and receiving) correspondence and packages by post, this lovely 2012 calendar, with watercolor illustrations by Le Petit Elefant and lettering/layout by Paper & Type, features a different, monochromatic scene of communication on each seasonal page. Tear along the perforated line after you’re done with each page to create an art print, and come december, there’s a special postcard that you can use to send holiday wishes.

Wild Pulp’s unique 2012 calendar features 12 months of North American animals in bark. When each month is over, simply cut the calendar page in half at the soft, gray line and the Bark Animal can be framed for years of enjoyment.

The Pyramid Atlantic Art Center’s annual letterpress calendar, a collaborative fundraiser project that helps Pyramid’s facilities and programs, which are dedicated to the creation and appreciation of hand papermaking, printmaking, digital arts, and the art of the book. The calendar features an illustration by a different artist each month.

Simple, graphic cut out numbers make a big impact in this unique wall calendar design from Present & Correct. Available in neutrals or bright primary colors.

2012 Calendar Designs, Part 9

It’s part n-i-n-e of my 2012 calendar design roundup, and today’s collection includes some fantastic illustration and pattern, as well as lovely letterpressing and clever display options. Inkello’s letterpress matchbook calendars, available in cherry red, ice blue, and midnight black, are absolutely gorgeous – an oh so very stylish choice for stocking stuffers and hostess/teacher/co-worker gifts.

June Craft’s mini print calendar features twelve wonderful, folk art-style illustrations, and you can tear off the perforated date portion of each month to create a little print that’s ready to frame and hang.

It’s a calendar! It’s coasters! It’s both! Meadowlark Creative’s New Belgium Brewing-themed letterpress coaster calendar is a great gift idea for the letterpress lover and/or beer fan in your life.

The Curious Doodles screen printed Botanical Papercut Calendar pays homage to all of the beautiful flora that Laura from Curious Doodles saw while backpacking through Southeast Asia this past year. Each calendar page is a postcard, too!

JHill Design’s 2012 Places I Have Never Been wall calendar is a collection of 12 bold and beautiful patterns based on Jennifer Hill’s imaginary vacations. This year’s destinations include Vancouver (British Columbia), Nashville (Tennessee), Wellington (New Zealand), and Addis Ababa (Ethiopa). Nina Glaser of Ash & Anchor was inspired by her love of gig posters to create this ethereal, artistic 2012 art print calendar, available from Society6.

Paper Boat Studio’s 2012 letterpress calendar was inspired by a 1960s spirograph set (yay, spirograph!) and features some seriously cool, hand-drawn geometric images.

Sweet Daddy Design’s “For the Love of Letterpress” wall calendar features an array of printmaking tools of the letterpress trade. Clever!

Birds, bunnies, and lyrics by Bob Marley, Neil Young, and Van Halen?! A great combination of cute and cool comes together in The Wild Unknown’s 2012 wall calendar.

“Keep it simple” is the motto behind the Shapes vs. Shapes minimalist calendar by MerciBlehBleh, which features ultra bold colors and simple, geometric shapes.

2012 Calendar Designs, Part 8

Just a few more calendar roundups to go, but there are still plenty of fantastic designs that I want to share with you, and this bunch includes many fun and unique designs. Keep reading for some cheeky villains, amazing letterpress designs, and lovely illustration. And if you’re looking for some additional inspiration, be sure to check out my other 2012 calendar design roundups.

Check out this amazing, five color Southwestern letterpress wall calendar by Goose Down Press. Such an intricate pattern, and the deckle edge detail at the bottom is great.

I love the color and texture in Oh My Deer’s Watercolor Wash wall calendar. So pretty!

Pressbound has two wonderful letterpress calendars this year. First up, a Russian nesting doll desk calendar with the little dolls dressed up in cute, seasonal attire.

And the second annual design in what is becoming a series, a letterpress wall calendar that blends Polish wycinanki (the Polish version of paper cut folk art) with Russian nesting dolls. This one looks great in a frame!

Calling all bobbies and coppers! The Criminels du Monde are on the loose in this calendar by Mr. Boddington’s Studio.

Each month in the Etiquette for the Post-Emily World letterpress calendar by Grey Moggie Press features a modern or humorous twist on an old etiquette rule. Clever and helpful!

Ilee’s letterpressed and screenprinted 2012 desk calendar – I look forward to this one each year – is absolutely lovely.

Creative Thursday’s limited edition 2012 calendar features twelve of Marisa’s most popular prints from the past year. The pages in this design are joined together with a silver ring, for easy addition and removal of months, and a colorful ribbon is attached to the ring so you can easily hang it on a wall.

A different (and lovely) illustration is featured in each month of Irena Sophia’s fantastic 2012 wall calendar.

Paper Boat Press’ spiral bound 2012 calendar, designed and illustrated by Kylie Johnson, features a different inspirational quote and drawing each month. The date portion of the calendar can be trimmed, and the drawings and quotes can be framed as wall art.

2012 Calendar Designs, Part 7

Ready for some more awesome 2012 calendars? That’s good, because I have ten more super cool designs to share with you today. Get ready for some calendar eye candy!

This screen printed 2012 Monster Calendar by 55His and Chris Sandlin (SockMonkee) is rocking my world.

Albertine Press’ 2012 letterpress wall calendar will take you on a trip around the world, and you’ll have postcards to send to your friends and family when you’re done. Every month features an original sketch from a different city in the USA and around the world, and when you’re ready to flip the page, cut along the dotted line and you’ve got a ready-to-mail postcard.

Featured cities include Amsterdam, Philadelphia, Austin, Tokyo, London, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Brooklyn, San Francisco, Chicago, Paris and Rio. And Shelley from Albertine is featuring each city with photos of the inspiration that led her to design each month, so be sure to head over and check those out.

I’ve been a big fan of Anke Weckmann’s work for a while, and I’m so jazzed to see that she has a calendar for the coming year. Loving all of the wonderful, colorful illustrations.

The Little Things Studio 2012 wall calendar features eye-catching patterns and quotes that reflect the concept of time and what we do with the time we are given. What a lovely combination of visuals and food for thought.

Miles of Light’s soft and simple Feather Calendar exudes an understated calm. Just looking at this once a day would lower my stress levels, I think.

Ooh, Dutch Door Press’ 2012 letterpress calendar is a beauty. I love their choice of colors, and the folksy florals are so very pretty.

Cat Seto has two great calendar designs, including an eco-friendly Banner Garland Calendar strung with pom poms(!),

and a new 2012 Eco Desk Calendar that comes with a reusable wood block holder made of reclaimed lumber. Pretty neat!

Le Papier Studio’s 2012 wall calendar features bright and sunny illustrations of juicy, tasty fruits for each month of the year. Mini calendars are also available in sets of four – the perfect little stocking stuffers.

Parrott Design Studio’s 2012 calendar features three of their favorite things: letterpress, calligraphy, and dip-dyed paper. Each page has been dip-dyed by hand, letterpress printed, and each month was calligraphed by hand by Sarah Parrott. The result is absolutely beautiful.

I always look forward to seeing the wonderful calendar designs from SusyJack*, and this year’s collection includes a wall calendar, a writable grid calendar, and a desk calendar filled gorgeous, colorful illustrations.

2012 Calendar Designs, Part 6

Fourth Year Studio’s 2012 letterpress calendar was inspired by traditional and contemporary quilt patterns and features a different geometric pattern each month. Calendar pages are perforated so you can tear off the date portion and use the patterns as notecards, too.

INK + WIT’s lovely letterpress wall calendar, “Into the Calm”, exudes a cool serenity with soft colors, beautiful patterns, and calming quotes.

I’m really digging the wonderful colors and typography in Steel Petal Press’ 2012 letterpress wall art print calendar.

Two Pooch Paperie’s 2012 Mustache Calendar features twelve giggle-inducing illustrations of mustachiod men.

The limited edition Synchronized Swimmers calendar by MaeMae Paperie is so very clever … and educational, too!

Dan Usiskin combines a calendar with one of everyone’s favorite childhood activities in his Dot to Date (London Edition) calendar. Dot each day to the next however you like – use a pen, a pencil, a crayon, or needle and thread to reveal a different London landmark each month.

Night Owl Paper Goods has a parliament of hoot-iful wood veneer calendars for the coming year.

Sci-fi nerds will love Alex Griendling’s 2012 Time Travel calendar, which collects 155 instances of time travel from films, television shows, video games, and comics and puts them on a single timeline that plays out over the course of a year. Check out this Kickstarter project here.

Inklosures’ 2012 Petite Wall Calendar features twelve seasonal illustrations and makes a fantastic stocking stuffer or hostess gift.

Retro Menagerie’s illustrated wall calendar features a different, original illustration each month and includes plenty of space for taking note of special dates and events.
