2012 Calendar Designs, Part 5

We’re on part five of my roundup of 2012 calendar designs, and today’s ten choices represent a wide range of styles, from the super cute to the boldly colored and lusciously letterpressed. Let’s get started!

I can’t help but smile at all of the adorable illustrations featured in milk and cookies’ 2012 mini calendar.

The 5th annual Sadly Harmless Calendar, “Grow”, features a different ink and watercolor illustration for each month of the year, featuring favorite animals, each growing unique habitats, plants, and other surprises.

Freckle Paper’s 2012 Farm Stand Finds calendar features watercolor reproductions of seasonally-inspired fruits and veggies.

Smock has a quartet of lovely letterpress printed calendars, each featuring a different, vividly colored illustration.

Snow & Graham always has great calendar designs. This year’s include a desk calendar, wall calendar, mini desk calendar, and accordion calendar.

UK shop, Found, commissioned two graduate illustration students to create letterpress calendars that celebrates something unique to 2012. Charlotte Trounce created an Olympic-themed design to celebrate London’s forthcoming Games, and Stephie Ginger gave a nod to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with her royal purple and deep ochre hued design.

Egg Press and Blue Sky have teamed up again to offer a great selection of planners, agendas, and calendars for 2012. Find them at your local Target location as of November 1.

So much wonderful color and pattern going on in Jessica Swift’s 2012 calendar designs, which include both a small, desk-friendly calendar and a larger wall calendar.

Meghan McCrary’s geometric patterned calendar includes stickers so you can mark all sorts of events throughout the year: craft shows, farmers’ markets, haircuts, tattoo appointments, vet appointments, camping trips, marathons, concerts, happy hours, book clubs, canoe trips, girl scout cookie arrival, and plenty of other special occasions.

April from Everything Little Miss was inspired by Maurice Sendak’s “Chicken Soup with Rice” for her 2012 desk calendar, which features a different illustration for each month of the year.

2012 Calendar Designs, Part 4

One, two, three, four … wow, I’m already up to part four of my 2012 calendar design roundup. Are you ready to set your eyes on ten more awesome calendars? Enough with the dilly-dallying. Let’s get started!

Ooh, what a great calendar from Old School Stationers. The rounded corners and petite spiral binding are great touches, not to mention the awesome letterpress printing, of course. Mmm … blueberry pie in July.

Gingibear’s 2012 Owl Calendar is totally hoo-tiful. Sorry, but as an owl-loving geek, I had to go there. It really is a super cool calendar – my favorite month has to be October. Chubby vampire owl!

Satsuma Press’ letterpress calendars are always so understated and beautiful, and this year’s design is no exception. The calendar features twelve original illustrations letterpress printed in a palette of slate, palest pink, cranberry, peacock, ochre, leaf, and mist.

Impressed Design’s 2012 letterpress calendar features twelve monthly-inspired outfits, accessories and Batman capes included.

Petit Paperie’s sleek, gocco-printed calendar was inspired by lines, geometric shapes, textiles, and modern pattern. Each page includes two months and a different hand drawn illustration by Michelle Lam of Petit Paperie.

I always look forward to seeing the bold, bright illustrations in Nikki McClure’s yearly calendar.

Colleen Ellse’s 2012 letterpress calendar was inspired by the change of seasons at her local Audobon Wildlife Sanctuary, and each month features a hand-drawn illustrations of the flora and fauna that she observed during her visits.

This colorful little calendar by Khristian A. Howell features some of her most popular prints of the year, and its small size makes it a great stocking stuffer or hostess gift idea.

2012 Calendar Designs, Part 3

It’s part three of my 2012 calendar roundup already, but there are so many great designs this year that I’m only just getting started. And, psst, if you’re looking for more calendar ideas, be sure to check out parts one and two.

Pie Bird Press’ 2012 “Seasonal Bulbs” calendar includes four legal size posters, each featuring three months and a seasonally-inspired illustration letterpress printed on heavy Strathmore stock in a gorgeous array of colors.

Fine Day Press’ wonderfully colorful wall calendar is comprised of twelve 11×17 prints of original, abstract watercolor illustrations, and the date portion of each month can be cut to create a frameable art print.

Mincing Mockingbird’s stunning 2012 calendar features twelve reproductions of beautiful bird paintings, and if the world does indeed end in 2012 (as in, total apocalypse kind of stuff), they’ll offer full refunds on calendar purchases. *wink*

Boygirlparty’s 224 page pocket planner includes everything you’ll need to keep yourself organized in 2012 – perforated note pages, to do lists, an address section, and more – and lots of super cute illustrations are in there, too!

Simplesong’s 2012 limited edition letterpress calendar features a trio of lovely colors (and months) on each page.

1canoe2’s 2012 letterpress calendar sits comfortably on your desk in its own little wood stump, which I think is a pretty darn cool thing. And the calendar itself features twelve original illustrations (they’re pretty darn cool, too) letterpress printed onto six pages – one month on the front, and one on the back.

It’s a calendar, it’s gift wrap, it’s both! Victory Paper Designs’ 16 month Wrapping Paper Calendar features an array of chic patterns that can be used to wrap small gifts after each month is finished.

Laura Macchia’s lovely 2012 wall calendar features twelve new botanical illustrations and is printed on 100% post consumer recycled paper. The calendar’s grid format allows plenty of room for writing down occasions, appointments, and notes, too!

Wonderful , nature-inspired watercolor illustrations are featured in each month of Bookhou at Home’s 2012 wall calendar, which features an ample amount of white space on either side of the month to jot down notes.

Sloe Gin Fizz’s 2012 calendar features twelve months of illustrated goodness. The seasonally-inspired illustrations are hand drawn and digitally colored by Sloe Gin Fizz’s own Nicole Ray.

Cute Paper Goodies from Jolie Jolie

Rachel from JolieJolie Design just added a bunch of seriously sweet new paper goodies to her shop, including several super cute birthday and shower/baby greetings. The macaron “cake” and stacked elephants illustrations are so fun!

2012 Calendar Designs, Part 2

If you’re hunting for even more lovely calendars, please head over and check out part one of my 2012 calendar designs roundup. Now, onto part two!

This beautiful, patterned 2012 letterpress calendar from Studio Carta and Moontree Letterpress, a companion piece to their lovely Leaf and Straw book series, is sure to be on many a wishlist. The 12 months are divided into four pages, each featuring a different design printed in two or three colors.

May Day Studio’s 2012 letterpress hanging calendar is pretty darn cool, and each page features May Day Studio’s original ripple linocut, letterpress printed in six seasonal inks.

Katie Vernon’s 2012 calendar features her wonderfully original (and colorful) illustrations, and you can slice off the date portion of each page to create lovely art prints.

APAK’s 2012 Space Garden calendar takes us to fantastically imaginative worlds filled with cute little creatures.

Ooh, such a pretty, modern calendar from Leah Duncan. Her 2012 wall calendar features hand drawn geometric shapes printed on textured paper in indigo, coral, gray, golden yellow, and pink archival pigment inks.

Amy Marcella’s list-style wall calendar is always a favorite. Pretty botanical illustrations + lots of room for writing = most excellent!

Anna Cote’s 2012 Flora & Fauna wall calendar is so fun and bright, and I love how she’s incorporated each month’s name into the corresponding illustration.

Paisley Tree Press’ 2012 letterpress wall/desk calendar features illustrated pages that can be transformed into folded note cards, and the calendar comes with envelopes so you can easily send your notes off in the mail.

Melissa van Hoose’s 2012 calendars are both functional and so very fun to look at. Several different designs and layouts are available, so you can choose your favorite to decorate your walls during the coming year.

Such sweet illustrations in Studio Morran’s 2012 calendar, and you can cut off the date portion when the month is over to create a frameable art print.
