Friends of Type Letterpress Prints

Fantastic hand lettering + letterpress printing = love. And that’s exactly what I’m feeling about these letterpress prints from Friends of Type (Aaron Carambula, Dennis Payongayong, Erik Marinovich, and Jason Wong), printed by Jordan Provost of Enormous Champion. I’m also loving the blind debossed Friends of Type logo at the bottom of each print. Great detail! – via FPO

Weekly Wrap #18 : Paper Dahlias

I was instantly taken with these beautiful tissue paper dahlia favors from the spring 2010 issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. The warm, peachy pink tissue paper makes me think spring and sunny, warmer weather, and I just love how the entire favor is put together, from the “dahlia” top to the cute favor tags tied with a pretty, green ribbon. This would be a wonderful way to wrap candy for Easter, and you could also wrap small gifts in this way, too. Check out the tutorial!

Have a great weekend, everyone, and if you celebrate, a Happy Easter! I will be enjoying the (finally) dry and unseasonably warm weather. It’ll be nice to get some sun on my pale, pale skin.

The Yolk Folk and The Carrot Crew

I first spotted The Yolk Folk over at How About Orange, and I think that they, along with their brethren, The Carrot Crew, are completely awesome. All of these super fun paper toys are available as downloads from the oh so clever paper toy masters, Mibo. You can purchase each set separately for about $4, or purchase both sets together for $6.25. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t share The Yolk Folk names: Cluck Gable, Eggory Peck, and Sophia Le Hen. I told you — awesome!
