Paper Squid

Paper Squid

I’m really digging the lovely, organic quality of the illustrations featured in Paper Squid’s art prints, invitations, and greeting cards. It feels like every piece has a core that has grown and will continue to grow beyond the bounds of the paper if allowed. Very cool! Here’s some more eye candy from Paper Squid’s collection:

2010 National Stationery Show

National Stationery Show

It’s almost that time of the year again, time for the National Stationery Show, and I’m so excited because this year I finally get to attend the show! It looks like lots of great shops are making their debut this year, and many, many perennial favorites will be there, too. Just thinking about the number of booths that I want to visit is making my head spin … in a good way.

So, if you’ll be exhibiting, please email me, tweet or DM me on Twitter @papercrave, or leave your shop name and booth number in the comments on this post, and you’ll be helping me put together my “master list”, which I’ll be posting here at the beginning of May!

And, if you’re going to be exhibiting at the show and are looking for tips on preparation and setup, you’ll want to check out the great series that Sarah Marie put together in 2008. Lots of very helpful tips!

Concarta Paper Wedding Cake Toppers

Concarta Paper Cake Toppers

I’m completely taken with these super cute, one of a kind paper wedding cake toppers from Concarta. The unique paper sculptures can be made in a variety of styles and colors and can be used as wedding cake toppers or as accent decorations. Concarta also makes decorative paper flowers that coordinate with the toppers or stand on their own as decorations for weddings, birthdays, and other special occasions.

Beautiful paper detailing from the sculptures:

Letterpress Baby Shower Invitations

Letterpress Baby Shower Invitations

My sister announced a few months ago that she was pregnant with her first child, and I’m so excited to be an auntie! Obviously, since I’m completely paper obsessed, my mind has been on baby shower invitations and baby announcements since I heard the news, and these awesome letterpress baby invitations, printed by Kathleen of Twig & Thistle and designed by her friend, Tara Lee, immediately caught my attention. I just love designs like this, where there are lots of little illustrative details to swoon over. So cute!

Letterhead Love

Happy Monday, everyone! I thought I’d start the week off with a fantastic new site called Letterhead Love, from Rachel Wiles of Benign Objects and The Dieline. If you swoon over gorgeous business cards, and kick butt business collateral sets your heart aflutter, then this is the site for you!

Letterhead Love “was born out of Rachel’s [sic] desire to have an online repository of the best letterhead, stationery and collateral materials”, and I think she’s off to a terrific start. The site is only a week old, but it’s already filled with droolworthy letterhead designs. Here’s a taste of what you’ll find at Letterhead Love:
