Erin + Jeremy’s Vintage Ephemera Wedding Invitations

If you love vintage ephemera, then this custom wedding invitation suite, a collaboration between Hello! Lucky and the couple, Erin and Jeremy, will be an absolute treat for your eyes. The delightful collection is a veritable smorgasbord of gorgeous, vintage inspired pieces that are styled to look like vintage tickets and bus passes, fair posters, and postcards. You can check out more photos from the wedding over at the Hello! Lucky blog.

The wedding invitation itself was styled to look like a torn page from a book. The deckled edge, typography, and little bunny silhouette illustration are perfection.

So much playfulness in this suite, including replies that were Mad Libs fashioned to look like vintage Western Union telegram and programs that were made to look like a vintage book.

Melisande + Charles’ Southwestern Wedding Invitations

Erin Jang Santa Fe Wedding Invitations

Erin Jang of The Indigo Bunting created these absolutely swoonworthy, southwest inspired wedding invitations for the Santa Fe, New Mexico wedding of Melisande and Charles, and I’m loving the bold, southwestern palette and patterns. Inspired by Navajo rug patterns and mariachi outfits, Erin designed a wedding suite with a stylized, modern look that speaks to the cultural history of the American southwest. The patterns and bold color palette are echoed through all of the pieces in the suite, from the wedding invite to the RSVP cards.

House Industries Typography Posters

House Industries Metallic Typography Posters

These fantastic new typographic prints from House Industries shot to the top of my paper wishlist as soon as I spotted them last week over at Design*Sponge. The combination of kick butt letterforms and metallic ink (mmm … copperlicious)  is simply too much for me to resist. Posters are hand-printed on acid-free French paper, and some designs have been hand-pulled onto 5/8″ furniture grade plywood that’s been pre-drilled for wall mounting. I’m also intrigued by House Industries’ forthcoming Photo-Lettering site, which sounds like a very cool concept.

Weekly Wrap #39 : Fabric Covered Boxes

Weekly Wrap

Fabric Covered Boxes

I’m finally about to do some apartment decorating, and I love the idea of making fabric covered boxes to use as storage for papers and various odds and ends. Mixing and matching patterns to coordinate with your decor is a great way to make the boxes a decorative element, as well as a utilitarian one.

But uses for fabric covered boxes don’t stop with organization. I think that they’re a fantastic option for special gifts. I say “special” gifts because creating the boxes does take some time and effort  — you can certainly make one for any gift that you’d like — but it would be such a nice way to wrap a themed collection of smaller gifts or a special memento that you’re giving to a friend or loved one.

Check out the tutorial for the fabric covered boxes over at Country Living.

From the Shop Friday : Halloween Paper Punches

Paper craft punches have come a long way over the past few years, and the partnership between Martha Stewart Crafts and EK Success has produced some of the most innovative paper punches around. The depth and detail are amazing, and there are even punches now that combine die-cutting and embossing or die-cutting and stamping. It’s really an exciting time if you’re a paper punch addict like I am.

These are some of the cool Martha Stewart Crafts Halloween around the page punch sets that have recently been released. The corner and edge punch combo means that you can create seamless edges the entire way around handmade cards, invites, party menus, and other Halloween-y paper crafts. Pretty neat, huh?
