Paper Source Mums Wreath Kit

Paper Source Mums Wreath Kit

Last week, I popped into Paper Source for the first time in a little while. I can’t go too often, or I’d be completely broke, so I try to pace myself. This usually doesn’t work, as I get too tempted, but I try to resist. Really, I do. Anyway, as soon as I walked in, I spotted the most gorgeous paper mums wreath. The wreath looks even more beautiful in person than in the photo, and it turns out that it’s a kit that you can make! Pretty cool, huh, and such a nice decoration for autumn. Paper Source’s flower and wreath kits seem to get more ornate and wonderful every year, and the mums wreath is definitely at the top of my list.

Weekly Wrap #41 : Recycled Magazine Gift Wrap

Made by Joel Recycled Magazine Gift Wrap

Made by Joel Recycled Magazine Gift Wrap

I spotted this gift wrap idea from Made by Joel over on Party Perfect the other day, and I think it’s an absolutely great way to recycle those old magazines and catalogs for a new use. Just think of all of the cool patterns, typography, and color that you’ll be able to find! And you can cut embellishments from the pages, too, to complete the look. Endless possibilities for decoration —cut out paper strips to make quilled embellishments, use layers of circular shapes to create flowers, etc.

From the Shop Friday : Cute Halloween Party Invites

This week, I added several super cute Halloween party invitation designs from Tiny Prints, and I’ll be adding more next week, so stay tuned for that! These invites would work for spooky parties with guests of all ages, but I think they’d be really fun for kids’ Halloween parties.

Tag Team Tompkins Paper Cut + Calligraphy Prints

Something Wicked This Way Comes Letterpress Print

Urge to squee rising … squee! Omigosh, how I love everything that Tag Team Tompkins ever created, even the things that I haven’t yet seen. The hand lettering? Swoon. The paper cut art and silhouettes? Double Swoon. Letterpress prints of the aforementioned hand lettering and paper cut art featuring some of my favorite quotes ever? I think I’m going to faint because I’m swooning so hard.

Okay, I think I’ve gathered myself enough to tell you that Diane and Madeline, the mother/daughter duo who are Tag Team Tompkins, create these gorgeous works of art centered around word play and expressing their love of paper, ink, and a bit of wisdom/humor. In addition to letterpressed versions of their delightful creations, the duo offer original works lik the “Dire Warning” series, a few of which you can feast your eyes on below:

Dire Warnings Paper Cut + Hand Lettered Art

Tag Team Tompkins creates hand lettered and paper cut art featuring quotes for everyday show, but the letterpress prints that I’m sharing here would be especialy perfect framed as elegantly whimsical Halloween decorations.
