Martha Stewart Punched Snowflake Gift Wrap Idea

Ah, isn’t this idea dreamy? Paper punches are extremely versatile, which is probably why I’m so obsessed with them, and I love how punched paper snowflakes and Stars of David are incorporated into this buffet of wintry gift wrap ideas from Martha Stewart Living. Gather tags and paper in shades of icy blue, fuzzy mohair yarn, sequins and paillettes (like sequins, but flat with the hole on the top), and you’re ready to create lovely, snowy gift wrap and embellishments. I think that a palette of pinks and peaches or minty greens would work beautifully, too. And how about white on white or shades of cream and taupe?

One of my favorite details in this project is the Star of David punch used in the snowflake garland and, unfortunately, it doesn’t look like the source for this supply is open anymore, and I wasn’t able to find a similar one online. Bummer. Paper Source has a Star of David paper punch that isn’t quite as detailed, but it would still be a nice addition to your paper punch collection if you’d like to create Hanukkah-themed gift wrap embellishments.

From the Shop Friday : Paper Source Holiday Gift Wrap

Paper Source has an excellent selection of holiday gift wrap this year (every year!), and I’ve added several of the designs that they’re carrying to the shop this week. Included are perennial favorites by Snow & Graham, several Paper Source designs, and a really cool argyle paper that would be fantastic to use if you’re going a bit outside the box with your color scheme this year.

There are plenty of awesome ideas for gift wrap color palettes to be found in the entries, and I’d love it if you added yours, too! I’ll be taking entries until this coming Monday, November 22, at midnight eastern, so you still have plenty of time to enter to win either a $50 gift certificate or a $50 bundle of holiday gift wrap from Paper Mojo.

Holiday Photo Cards by Stacey Day

Stacey Day Holiday Cards

I’ve become familiar with Stacey Day’s lovely work through her collection over at Minted, but I recently found out that she has her own shop, too, and it’s filled with wonderful holiday photo cards, personal stationery, and birth announcements. I’m completely taken with the typography in the Merry Glyphics tri-fold design (above), and I’m giddy over the fact that Stacey has designed coordinating mailing labels for all of the holiday cards in the collection. I love coordinating mailing labels!
