I was delighted when Alicia from Adelaide, Australia based Akimbo sent over these cheeky fun cards from her new Regency Collection, which features a variety of greetings that meld Victorian illustration and elegant type with 21st century acid bright color. The new cards are available via Akimbo’s Etsy shop, where you can pick up one for a specific occasion or pick up a bunch to give as a gift set.

A Letterpress Christmas 2010 : Starshaped Press

This year’s lineup of new letterpress holiday cards from Starshaped Press is, simply put, beautiful. Available greetings include gatefold-style, Art Deco-inspired cards, created from Starshaped’s vast collection of 20s and 30s era typefaces and ornaments, which were used to hand-build both the type areas and imagery for the cards.

Letterpress cards from the Ornamental Holiday Collection feature intricate pattern and imagery, also created by hand with ornaments from Starshaped’s studio. Amazing stuff!

JP + Kiera’s Sweet Illustrated Wedding Menus

Do you remember JP + Kiera’s dreamy pink and gold letterpress wedding invitations from earlier this year? So, so lovely – one of my favorites of the year, and I know that many of you were swooning right along with me when you laid eyes on these beauties. So, you probably understand how excited I was when they sent over images of the rest of the invitation suite, including the absolutely darling, custom illustrated menus that the couple created. Sweetness!

In addition to the lovely menus, the couple also created coordinating, pattern-backed events sheets and Jewish Wedding Cheatsheets as part of their wedding suite. I love that JP + Kiera made a suite that’s both gorgeous and fun, and I know that if I were invited to this wedding, I’d be saving every single piece from this suite as a keepsake.

I’m very excited to welcome Paper Crave’s newest advertiser, Thomas Printers, a letterpress printing studio that specializes in working with designers, individuals, collaborators, and fellow printers on projects that range from custom letterpress wedding invitations to stationery, business cards, and collateral systems.
