Seed Money, the latest Kickstarter project from Leafcutter Designs, creators of the World’s Smallest Post Office, is one of the most clever concepts that I’ve seen in a while. I’m far from alone in this thought because the project has already far exceeded its initial pledge goal, which means that these clever little letterpress coins will definitely be minted – woo hoo!
The initial run of custom illustrated coinage will include pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters, letterpress printed by Porridge Papers onto thick, custom papers embedded with seeds. And the clever little coins will come wrapped in unique coin wrappers featuring hand-lettering by the talented duo at Slide Sideways. There are so many things that you can do with the “coins”: give them as unique party favors; leave a few along with your tip at a restaurant; or pass them out at your local farmer’s market just for fun!
