Hand Stitched Cards by Sarah K. Benning

Hand Stitched Note Card | Sarah K. Benning

Good Monday, everyone, and thanks so much for your kind comments and emails last week about the house! Whew, it was an exhausting week – and I ended up coming down with a cold on Tuesday, which slowed me down for the rest of the week – but we still made so much progress. There’s plenty more to do (do you ever really run out of projects when you own a house?), but I’m happy to have a few rooms set up and operational. I hope to be able to share some photos about what we’ve been doing soon.

Anywho, enough house stuff, let’s get back to the paper! I’m so jazzed about these awesome, hand stitched greeting cards by Sarah K. Benning. I love embroidery, and Sarah brilliantly applies this handicraft to paper in such a modern way, incorporating geometric patterns, lettering, and sweet sentiments to create cards that are unique, textural, and so much fun.

Fellow embroidery enthusiasts, be sure to check out Sarah’s contemporary fabric embroidery, too.

Settling In…

Settling In...

After six long months of extensive renovations and many long drives back and forth (an hour and a half each way) from my in-laws’, where we’ve been living since we moved back to Pennsylvania from Massachusetts last May, to the house that we closed on this past August, we’ve FINALLY moved in! We’re living in utter chaos right now, but every day brings progress, and for that I’m very thankful. I’ve also learned that updating a 100-year-old house is no joke, not that I ever thought it would be.

I’ll be taking this week off from Paper Crave and Invitation Crush so I can have as much time as possible to clean (sawdust upon plaster dust upon cobwebs everywhere = ugh), to paint, and to make the house feel like more like home. See you back here next week – or later this week, depending on what I run into – with lots of fresh paper cravings!
