Yelena & Chris’ Modern Parisian Wedding Invitations

Yelena & Chris’ gorgeous wedding suite, created by Atelier Isabey, is the perfect blend of classic, Parisian glamour and chic, contemporary style. Featuring luxe letterpress invitations, printed in gold and black, a coat of arms designed just for the couple, and a seriously stylish booklet containing wedding details and information, this suite is the pinnacle of sophistication and luxury.

Atelier Isabey shares details about this beautiful project:

Weddings don’t get any more romantic and glamorous than in Paris, so we wanted to set the tone with an invitation that captured a truly classic Parisian feel in a fresh, updated way. We tried to stay away from anything too kitschy or cliché and focused on making the suite feel French and Parisian with understated references to the city of lights and with elegant photography and graphics. Yelena, the bride, was originally from Russia and loved all things luxurious and ornate. Chris, on the other hand, had a more modern and minimalist, Philippe Starck aesthetic. We merged their individual styles right in the middle and accentuated the design with a multitude of luxe print methods, details, and finishings.

The invitation card is printed in gold foil and black letterpress on ultra thick stock with gilded edges. It is paired with a booklet (also with gilded edges) which outlines the itinerary, information, and details, all designed in a contemporary editorial style with bold typography and crisp photography. Both of these pieces slide into a stark white sleeve accented with a sculpture embossed coat of arms designed specially for them. To finish the entire look we designed a custom gusseted envelope with a thick spine and contoured flap to house the contents within.

Jeff & Judy’s Juno-Inspired Wedding Stationery

I love me some cute and quirky wedding invitations, and these sweet and fun custom invites by Anticipate Invitations make me smile. Inspired by the movie, Juno, the pieces in this playful suite feature a mix of photos and line illustrations, along with pops of rich red and teal blue.

Michael from Anticipate Invitations shares:

Jeff and Judy envisioned having a fun, lighthearted, and kid-friendly wedding, and the invitation set the stage for just that. They were originally inspired by the quirky imagery from the movie Juno, so they combined this playful look with photographs taken in the park during their engagement shoot for an invitation suite that can best be described as “by far the greatest departure from anything we’ve done before.”

The invitations included a coloring postcard for guests to utilize their artistic abilities and mail back to the couple. Their work was displayed as part of the sweetheart table’s décor at the reception. Things were also kept simple by having all RSVPs completed online to eliminate another card and postage.

Sparrow Gold Foil Stamped Wedding Invitations

Smitten on Paper recently added a selection of gorgeous foil stamped wedding invitation designs to their lineup, and I’m totally smitten (no pun intended) with the shimmering lovelies. The sleek and slightly whimsical Sparrow invitation suite (featured) is a delicate mix of modern calligraphy and sans-serif faces complimented by sweet, hand drawn and foil stamped vines that appear on the reverse of the invitation and throughout the suite.

All of the designs in this collection are available with either gold or silver foil stamping, and you can order samples of any of the lovely designs if you’d like to see their gilded goodness in person.
