Facebook Holiday Gifts

I’m sure that I say this every year, but wow did the holidays speed on by! I hope that everyone had a good season, and if this is your first day back, as it is mine, I hope that it’s easy for you to get back into the swing of things.

Oh, to be one of Facebook’s top advertisers and to receive one of their absolutely incredible holiday gifts! These 19″ x 19″ square art posters are printed, embossed, and foiled to perfection down to the last little detail, and there are so many of said details that I could probably stare at this for hours just taking in all of Facebook designer Ben Barry’s signature illustrative and typographic details.

The shark detail is awesome:

The awesomeness continues in the packaging of the holiday gift, which features custom rubber stamping, packaging tape, and ridiculously cool silkscreened wood tokens that include a custom code that recipients can redeem for a charitable donation.

Seattle Show Posters

I attended my very first Bazaar Bizarre in Boston this year — how in the world did I not get there until this year?! — and it was such a great time. I met some awesome paper peeps, and there was crafty goodness in every nook and cranny. Plus, I got to hear “Video Killed the Radio Star” played on the theremin. How often does that happen?

It would be difficult for me to pick my favorite table at the show, as there were so many fantastic ones, but one of my new discoveries was Seattle Show Posters. I love their retro aesthetic, and I could’ve easily snapped up half a dozen of the posters that they had for sale. I came away with my favorite (above), though the version I have is sans type, as opposed the show poster version shown above. I can’t wait to frame it and hang it on the wall!

A Print a Day Has a Shoppe!

I was so excited to see that Yasmine from A Print a Day, one of my favorite creative blogs, has just launched a shoppe filled with prints of a selection of her beautiful, evocative illustrations. Forests of colorful mushrooms, bottles and jars with dreamy fantasy worlds, not to mention super cute woodland animals, inside — so great! I told myself that I wouldn’t spend anymore this holiday season, but then I saw the awesome posters from Bandito Design Co., and I think that I may have to make an exception. Woodland animals with bling? Mayan king Pakal as the king of hearts? A productive octopus? C’mon, they’re awesome!
