Letterpress Teapot Cards / Prints

Letterpress Teapot Cards by Erin Wallace

These letterpress teapot cards (also great for framing as small prints) by Erin Wallace are so incredibly cute. The hand printed, two color teapot illustrations were inspired by Pennsylvania Dutch ware and Norwegian folk art, and I’m loving their vintage vibe and all of the details, like the adorable retro birdies on the bottom teapot (above).

Singapore Papercut Map

Karen O' Leary Singapore Papercut Map

I’m continually amazed by the hand drawn, hand cut papercut city maps that Karen O’Leary creates, and her latest, Singapore, is one of the most mindblowing papercuts to date. I hadn’t been too familiar with the layout of the city previously, and I’m completely fascinated by this map. As Karen says, “this piece has a character unlike any other.” I actually think that some parts of the layout look a bit like Chinese characters. Here’s a look at some of the details:

Jeanie Nelson’s Decorative Alphabet Print

Jeanie Nelson Paper Nut Decorative Alphabet Print

Squee … omigosh, omigosh! I’m so excited to see that Jeanie Nelson of The Paper Nut has just announced that her brilliant ornamental alphabet is available as a print. It was love at first sight when I spotted this masterpiece a few months ago in its virtual form — the “H” that looks like a little gingerbread house, the “C” made of a mermaid and a cascading wave, the froggy on the “L”, the little koala hugging the “K” tree — I find something new to enjoy everytime I look.

The alphabet, which was inspired by ornamental Victorian typefaces, is available as an 18″ x26″ giclee print and is printed on acid-free, pH-neutral 100% cotton paper. The prints are currently available as a pre-order, and all orders placed now should arrive in about two weeks.

Papercut Art by The Time Is Now

The Time is Now Paper Cut Art

I’ve featured The Time Is Now’s outstanding papercut work previously, my focus having been on their beautiful cut paper journals and cards, but you can find much, much more in the shop. Naomi Shiek, the papercut artist behind The Time Is Now, creates outstanding papercut art pieces that often feature woodland themes and incorporate folkloric symbolism, and she also does private commissions, creating everything from wedding invites to posters and papercut books. Here’s just a bit from her impressive collection:

Awesome Posters + Prints, July Edition

I’ve been coming across a bundle of fantastic posters and prints lately, so I thought I’d take the chance to do a little roundup. Here we go!

Believe it or not, Jessica Hische didn’t actually design this stunning poster for a lecture that she gave at Mississippi State University. Jude Landry, who was inspired by Jessica’s Daily Drop Caps (and who isn’t) did! You can purchase one of these beauties from Jude. – via FPO
