The World Made of Cardboard

Cardboard France

How amazing is this? Independent web designer and Paper Crave reader, Melody Chou, recently had the chance to work as part of a design team at Taiwan-based Medialand to create a mind-blowingly awesome paper project for their client, clothing company Giordano. The client had already been using cardboard in their promotional materials, and the team used the material to develop entire cities made of cardboard!

Taiwan, France, England, Italy, America, China, Japan, and Spain were all given the “cardboard treatment” as part of Giordano’s “Say Hi to the World!” concept, and I’m simply blown away by the detail in all of the cardboard creations.

Spring Letterpress Prints by Tag Team Tompkins

Spring Letterpress Print Tag Team Thompkins

My love for all things Tag Team Tompkins is no secret. The duo combines gorgeous calligraphy and lovely papercut artwork with thought-provoking quotes to create letterpress prints that are simply fantastic, and their new prints for the spring season, featuring sweet words and papercut images that bring to mind warmer days and love in bloom, are just as wonderful as the deep and dark prints that they create for Halloween.

Here’s a look at more from Tag Team Tompkins’ new spring lineup:

Totem Screen Print by Magen Mitchell

Searching for a bunny with a different sort of disposition than Peter Cottontail this Easter? Well, the bunny atop this totem isn’t passing out eggs, that’s for sure. Thanks to Magen Mitchell of Paper Wasp for making my day with this this kick butt Totem screen print, which was inspired by the bold, graphic look of the imagery created by Pacific Northwest Natives. The three color hand-printed poster is available in a limited edition of 50, so be sure to grab one before they’re gone!
