I’ve been working on a post about crafting with wood veneer and had hoped to have the post up by the end of this week. However, I’m discovering so much information that I’d like to do more research before I post about it. So, be on the lookout for it sometime next week!
Until then, enjoy these gorgeous paper sculptures from Molly Jey. So peaceful and evocative of spring:

Eep! The hiatus from posting ran much longer than I anticipated, but I’m back now and hope to be posting again regularly. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for some spring weather, and this set of letterpress mini prints/greeting cards from Yee Haw Industries makes my hope for sunshine and warm temperatures stronger. They’re also available in blue, for those of you who are interested in a more “chill” look. $20.00 for a set of 8.

Chinese New Year falls on February 7 this year, and Design Night is celebrating the Year of the Rat, this year’s zodiac animal, with these limited edition, intricately laser cut gift envelopes. You can tuck a gift card or money into the envelopes, which are gifts in and of themselves. Who knew that a rat could be so pretty?

I’m digging the greeting cards from Objet de Carte, created by artist and designer Robert Brownstein. His use of geometry, patchwork, and typography is both fun and inspiring. In addition, each card is printed on 100% recycled card stock, and envelopes are made from 100% recycled kraft paper.

Objet de Carte will be at the National Stationery Show in New York City in May, so be sure to stop by if you’re there!

Presto Bingo is run by Baltimore, Maryland husband and wife design team, Dave Plunkert and Joyce Hesselberth. Their unique creations are a must see if you’re looking to decorate a kid’s room in a unique way:

These prints from Treetop Studio are just lovely — the soft color palettes and stylized natural design elements really strike a chord with me. Each print is hand screen printed on a Gocco press and has its own unique charm. $14.00 each at Treetop Studio’s Etsy shop:
