Eco Friendly Paper : The Local Paper

Eco Friendly Paper

The Local Paper Gift Wrap

I’m absolutely loving the new line of eco-friendly gift wrap from Houston, Texas based architect and designer, Sophia Malik. The Local Paper was developed from a love of pattern and design, and the collection takes its inspiration from travel, nature, and life.

The Local Paper Gift Wrap

The Local Paper’s first collection, the San Jose Collection, was inspired by a trip to Costa Rica and features pattern elements based on the intricate architectural details that can be found throughout the city. I can’t get enough of the subdued, oh so modern palette of white and silver on kraft colored paper, coupled with the gorgeous patterns.

The Local Paper products are created with a great commitment to both design and the environments. All products are printed on FSC certified papers with 30% recycled post-consumer fiber, and all of their packaging is recycled, recyclable, and biodegradable.

Weekly Wrap #9 : Wood You Be Mine?

Weekly Wrap

Wood Block Valentines

Alright, so technically these aren’t wrapped gifts, but they sure do look like gifts, don’t you think? Plus, if you’ve been reading this blog for any length of time, then you know what a sucker I am for faux bois, so I just had to share them with you.

These adorable little “gifts” are actually gocco printed wood block valentines with letterpress tags by Something’s Hiding in Here. Such a clever, clever idea, and versatile, too. You can use the gifts as paper weights, or stack them to make a decorative piece for a table or bookshelf. But you might want to just put your gifts on your desk and stare at them all day, like I probably would.

Weekly Wrap #7 : Brown Paper Packages Tied Up with String

Weekly Wrap

I’ve become a total fangirl of the Color Me Pretty features by Leslie of A Creative Mint over at Decor8. The styling and palettes are simply gorgeous! One of my favorites so far has been the red, white, and brown theme, which features a completely awesome red felt coaster as a packaging embellishment, as well as two of my latest obsessions, twine and kraft paper, and one of my growing obsessions, doilies. Absolutely wonderful!

Bee Things Lunch Bags

Okay, these screen printed lunch bags from Bee Things are so incredibly cute that it almost makes me wish that I was back in school so I could have the snazziest bag ever for my daily lunch of a peanut butter & jelly sandwich, Capri-Sun, and mini bag of chips. Actually, I think that these cuties would make great favor bags, too, and using them as favor packaging would allow me to avoid the unpleasantness of being a socially awkward teen all over again. How cute are those monkeys?! – via HOW Blog
