Tag Team Tompkins Paper Cut + Calligraphy Prints

Something Wicked This Way Comes Letterpress Print

Urge to squee rising … squee! Omigosh, how I love everything that Tag Team Tompkins ever created, even the things that I haven’t yet seen. The hand lettering? Swoon. The paper cut art and silhouettes? Double Swoon. Letterpress prints of the aforementioned hand lettering and paper cut art featuring some of my favorite quotes ever? I think I’m going to faint because I’m swooning so hard.

Okay, I think I’ve gathered myself enough to tell you that Diane and Madeline, the mother/daughter duo who are Tag Team Tompkins, create these gorgeous works of art centered around word play and expressing their love of paper, ink, and a bit of wisdom/humor. In addition to letterpressed versions of their delightful creations, the duo offer original works lik the “Dire Warning” series, a few of which you can feast your eyes on below:

Dire Warnings Paper Cut + Hand Lettered Art

Tag Team Tompkins creates hand lettered and paper cut art featuring quotes for everyday show, but the letterpress prints that I’m sharing here would be especialy perfect framed as elegantly whimsical Halloween decorations.

Lulu Dee Letterpress Greeting Cards

Lulu Dee Letterpress Greeting Cards

I’m completely jazzed about the new line of letterpress greeting cards from Los Angeles, CA based design and letterpress shop, Lulu Dee. Laura Carignan, the one woman design powerhouse behind the shop, takes her inspiration from mid-century modern design, vintage cartoons, and nostalgic song lyrics (Lionel Richie and Kool & the Gang – love it!), and the results are seriously neato.

Typoes Happen Letterpress Eraser Card

Okay, how brilliant is this Typoes Happen letterpress eraser card from a.favorite? So clever, and if I weren’t already a huge a.favorite fangirl, then this card would’ve made me one. The card, which looks remarkably like a Pink Pearl eraser, also contains a great sentiment. We all make mistakes, and we just need to be easier on ourselves when we do and “move on”. Love that!

The Feedback Loop Notebook Project

The Feedback Loop Project Notebooks

The web has been buzzing about the new Feedback Loop Notebook Project, and I’m hopping right on the buzzwagon because it’s a fantastic concept for a great cause. The project launched on September 8 and is a collaboration between Mohawk Fine Papers and Design Ignites Change.

25 leading letterpress printers were invited to participate in the project, using their creative and technical prowess to create limited edition letterpress notebooks (just 50 of each design is available) on Mohawk’s Loop paper, which was donated for the project. The result is a spectacular cornucopia of amazing notebooks featuring each printer’s special touch, and they’re all available for purchase in a special section of the Felt & Wire Shop. The notebooks are just $15, and 100% of the proceeds benefit kids via School : By Design, a youth mentoring initiative that asks high school students, in collaboration with their mentors, to redesign their school.

Here’s just a taste of what you can find over at Felt & Wire’s Feedback Loop shop. I especially love seeing all of the different binding techniques used:

Dude and Chick Letterpress Birthday Cards

Hee! I’m getting a kick out of the line of letterpress greetings from St. Paul, Minnesota based letterpress studio, Dude and Chick. All of the cards from “DNC” are designed, illustrated, and printed in-house by John Gurtin and Katie Wilson, the duo behind Dude and Chick, and I’m loving the humor and style in their cards. Here are some of my favorite birthday greetings from their shop:
