A Letterpress Christmas 2007

Linda & Harriet Christmas Letterpress

Linda & Harriet Christmas Letterpress

I’m loving these clever letterpressed Christmas cards from Brooklyn based stationery and design company, Linda & Harriett. Love the use of yellow and the incorporation of the angels in a larger design and, hee, kissing piggies! A set of 8 of either design is $18.00.

And, psst, if you’re looking for a wonderful letterpress gift for yourself or a friend, their 2008 letterpress calendar is a must see:

Pikku

Pikku

Vermont based Pikku (love that name!) offers a little something for every paper lover. They first appeared at the National Stationery Show and are off to a fantastic start, with gorgeous gift wrap, hand screen printed, and letterpress designs.

I love their screen printed birch plywood calendars — so unique, and they can be either refilled for future years or used as art pieces when the calendar is finished. I’m also really digging their graphic gift wrap and the detailed handstitching work on their paper notions. Pikku is a must see for all of you paper cravers!

Pikku wares can be found at a variety of shops throughout the U.S., Canada, and Ireland. A detailed listing can be found on their website

Jack Cards

Jack Cards

Spotted in yesterday’s Daily Candy Boston — a wonderful greeting card service called Jack Cards. The Boston based company allows you to browse cards from over 40 independent, hand-picked designers, including Amy Smyth Made It, Binth, Bumble Ink, Herman Yu, Night Owl Paper Goods, and Red Cap Cards.

Here’s the special part: after you’ve signed up (membership is free) for their service, Jack Cards allows you to add contacts and purchase cards for those contacts. You can have your chosen greetings sent to you by a specified date, optionally pre-stamped and/or pre-addressed, so all you have to do is add a personal message or greeting and pop the card in the mail. Very convenient!

Bonus: take advantage of Jack Cards’ free shipping offer (US addresses only) for all orders placed during the month of November.
