Finally, the first post for the “A Letterpress Christmas” series for 2009! When I was at the Paper Source over the weekend, I spotted a wonderful display of Christmas and holiday cards from Egg Press, and I knew that they would be my first feature for the season. I’m featuring Egg Press’ offset printed cards, as well, because there are so many wonderful designs that I just couldn’t exclude them. So, I guess this is half letterpress Christmas and half offset Christmas! Check out the entire Egg Press 2009 Holiday Collection.

Olliegraphic Personalized Paper Goods

Sarah + Abraham just launched their new Olliegraphic line, which features all sorts of fun customizable paper goods. You can choose names, ages, hairstyles, hair colors, eye shapes and colors, and more for all of the retro style illustrated characters that will be featured on greeting cards, notepads, personalized stationery, calling cards, invitations, art prints, and lots of other fun stuff.

This printed line is a collaboration between Sarah + Abraham and Olliegraphic, and you can find printable PDF versions of several of the items over at the original Olliegraphic shop, where you can also work with Meg, the illustrator behind the shop, to create custom invitations, labels, and more!

Berkeley, CA based illustrator and printmaker Rigel Stuhmiller’s Etsy shop is a paper lover’s wonderland, filled with an amazing variety of wedding invitations, custom letterpress business cards, and block printed art in styles that range from vintage inspired to whimsical. Louella Press Ornament Cards

Halloween’s over — and I hope that you all had a great one — so can I assume that it’s alright to start posting Christmas cards? I mean, I did see that they were putting up the Christmas tree at one of the local shopping centers this weekend, and Target was setting up their Christmas decorating area, too. Certainly these types of places wouldn’t do this type of thing too early, right?!
