Dandy Lion Letterpress Sea Creatures Cards

I became an instant fan of Dandy Lion Press earlier this year after discovering their wonderful collection of Bunnylopes cards, and I’m currently fascinated by their collection of letterpress sea creatures, featuring amazingly naturalistic, hand drawn illustrations of jellyfish, old wives fish (interesting story behind the name of this fish), puffer fish, cod, and more. I love that many of the cards are blue on blue, further emphasizing the aquatic theme.

One of my favorites, the Blue Lobster Card, with the subject oriented so it’s split down the center by the fold of the card:

New Paper Goodies from Benign Objects

Lots of great new paper goods to be found at Benign Objects, including these greeting cards featuring Rachel Wiles’ collage work. I love the bold, bright colors, and the cards featuring birds have really caught my eye.

Rachel also recently added some really cool gift tags to her shop. Get your vintage on with a set of 24 gift tags made from vintage postcards, printed on linen-finish paper that gives the tags even more of an old school feel.

And if foliage is more your thing, you can add a touch of nature to your packages with these lovely foliage silhouette gift tags. Use them as place cards at a summer dinner party, too!

The “Paper Crave” Collection at Felt & Wire

A couple of months back, my friends over at Felt & Wire asked me to curate a collection of my favorite paper goodies from their shop. Can you say Kristen in a paper candy store? My collection, entitled “Red, White, and Blue”, just went live in the Felt & Wire shop! As you can tell by the collection’s name, it features items that incorporate red, white, and/or blue. I’m serious about possibly stalking you if you create a beautiful white on white piece. And navy, well if you’ve read this site for any amount of time then you know how I feel about navy.

Hygge Greeting Cards

Wow! These Hygge greeting cards at Lagom (UK) have just shot straight to the top of my wishlist. Hygge is a Danish word that, translated means “coziness” and “tranquility”, and that’s exactly what I’m feeling when I look at these. The tonal blue and white palette is perfect, reminiscent of Delftware, which I also love. I guess my blue obsession does, indeed, go beyond navy. Lagom ships worldwide, and I may be picking up several of these cards not only to give, but also to frame and hang on the wall.
