Weekly Wrap #174 : Black & White Gift Wrap Inspiration

Classic black and white will never go out of style, but it’s most definitely one of the hottest color pairings going right now, and I’ve seen so many gorgeous black and white wrapped packages popping up on Pinterest lately that I had to shine a spotlight on some of my favorites.

This dynamic color duo can stand firmly on its own, as it does in the pretty packages below, but it also looks great with just about any color around. My favorite additions for the upcoming holiday season include shiny metallics, bold reds / greens / teals, and soft mints and pinks. I’ve included some complementary color ideas below to get your creative juices flowing.

Weekly Wrap #171 : Foodie Wrap

I am totally digging this tasty trio of wrapping papers by Leslie A. Wood for Wrap. The delectable designs feature patterns that include ice creamy treats (perfect for summertime gifts), greasy good fast food (the calories don’t count when it’s paper, right?), and coffee and cake (mmm … cake). Trendspotting : Flamingos

Corals, peaches, and pinks are some of the hottest colors going in stationery, and what member of the animal kingdom best represents this part of the color spectrum? The flamingo, of course! I’ve noticed flamingos popping up all over – in greeting cards, art prints, and even on gift wrap – and expect to see more of these pretty in pink birds standing tall on stationery and paper goods of all sorts in the near future.

Weekly Wrap #170 : Modern Dad Wrap

I spotted this awesome (and free) printable Father’s Day gift wrap from Almost Makes Perfect over on Pinterest this week and think that it’s such a stylish, modern choice for dad-centric gifts, whether you’re giving them on Father’s Day, on dad’s birthday, or on another special day that celebrates him. I also really like the contrast that the black and white twine adds to the packages. Hmm … I don’t think that I have any black and white twine. May be time to get some!
