I’m loving the work of Megan Carty of Megan Creates. I simply cannot resist a cutie-patootie giraffe, not to mention her wonderful custom letterpress work.

Megan does a little bit of everything, including custom wedding, party, and shower invitations, greeting cards, and corporate collateral. Megan also has a line of ready made note cards and art prints at her Etsy shop. Her portfolio is a must see!

Spin Designs Paper Mobiles

Scherenschnitte (papercutting) is one of my latest obsessions, so these paper mobiles by Portland, Oregon based Spin Designs leaped out at me as soon as I saw them. I love the elegant, whimsical designs and the white accents featured on some of the mobiles. There’s just something about black and white.

Each design in Spin Designs’ Silhouette Collection is created from an original illustration and is laser cut from thick museum mat board. These would make fantastic housewarming gifts and would be a wonderful accent in any home.

As they say, the best laid plans and all of that. I’m happy to report that we’re finally starting to get settled in the new apartment, though it took a bit longer than expected. It didn’t help that I came down with a terrible cold pretty much as soon as we finished moving our things into the new place. But I’m on the mend and am excited to be back to posting!

I thought that PataPri’s “door” posters would be a fitting first post after the moving break. A door can really make a home, and these hand silkscreened doors cover the spectrum, from traditional to french to screens. Posters are $30.00 each or $50.00 for a set of two.
