The Eco-Friendly Wedding Collection from Up Up Creative

Eco Friendly Wedding Invitations Up Up Creative

I’m super stoked about the newly launched Eco Friendly Wedding Invitation + Save the Date collection from Up Up Creative. The new line features clean, classic, modern invites available in all sorts of vibrant colors, with bold typography and stylized illustrative elements throughout. I’m rather partial to the navy and pink design above (yep, that navy + pink/magenta obsession’s not going anywhere anytime soon). I also love the story behind the collection, which you can check out here.

You can see the entire collection, purchase sample kits, and check out the available colors — I always love to see colors + the fun color names that designers come up with — at Up Up Creative. All paper used is either 100% cotton or contains 100% post consumer recycled content.

Here’s a peek at some of my favorites:

Weekly Wrap #30 : On the Road

Map Paper Gift Wrap Idea

I’ve been on the hunt for summer-inspired gift wrap, and this fun idea by Katy from K is for Calligraphy brings to mind summer road trips and long drives on beautiful, warm days. The use of vintage road map paper, marked with hearts at the origination and destination points for the package (sent as part of a package exchange), is so clever, too! And the red, white, and blue palette reminds me of the 4th of July, fireworks, and summer bbqs.

Katy has lots of super cute tags and calligraphed goodies in her shop, and I’m loving the personalized monogram designs that she offers, too. The monograms are designed just for you, and they come with a PDF file in addition to paper version, so you can use your monogram for everything from wedding stationery to custom rubber stamps and personalized letterhead.

Nonpareil #04

Nonpareil Wedding Magazine

Nonpareil #04 is here, and it’s amazing, if I do say so myself! The double-sized issue (seriously, it’s huge), titled A Silver Screen Soirée, includes features that were inspired by the movies and television shows. Our teams chose everything from a perennial female favorite, the BBC’s Pride and Prejudice, to Mad Men, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, Chocolat, and even Lord of the Rings as their inspiration, and the results are an absolute feast for the eyes. Head on over to Nonpareil and have a look, won’t you?

And for brides-to-be, we have an awesome Minted giveaway going on through June 30, 2010. Check out details and enter to win 100 wedding invitation cards or save the dates!

Paper Lovely Lacy Letterpress Wedding Invites

Paper Lovely Lacy Letterpress Wedding Invitations

Thanks to Kim from Omaha, Nebraska based letterpress studio, Paper Lovely, for letting me know about this lovely and lacy letterpress wedding invitation suite that she recently finished for Jacque & Kevin. The bride wanted a very elegant, Victorian-like feel to her wedding, and the combination of the lace motif and the mauve-y pink ink set the tone wonderfully.

The invitation and rsvp postcard were both letterpress printed, and the menus and programs were thermographically printed, and my favorite detail from the suite has to be the letterpressed “new address” card that’s attached to the program. The bride wanted the guests to be able to remove the card and take it with them, so they wouldn’t have to lug the entire program around. Very smart!
